Thanksgiving is upon us which means, we get a full day of football on a Thursday. To kick things off, we’ve got a matchup between the Buffalo Bills (7-3) and the Detroit Lions (4-6). The Bills currently sit as 9.5-point favorites as we approach kickoff.

Buffalo Bills

It’s been an interesting couple of weeks for the Bills as they will be playing their second consecutive game in Detroit. Despite facing an early deficit, the Bills battled back and got the 31-23 victory over the Cleveland Browns. Star quarterback Josh Allen comes into this game third in touchdown passes (21) but also second in interceptions (10) this season.

This game could be a huge momentum builder for Buffalo, as their three next games all come against AFC East opponents.

Detroit Lions

Just three weeks ago, we were looking at this Detroit team as a team that could likely get the first overall pick in the draft. Now, the Lions have racked off three straight victories and find themselves not far from a Wild Card spot.

One of the biggest reasons for this resurgence is their opportunistic defense. Despite ranking dead last in the NFL in points allowed per game (28.2), they have really picked it up on that side of the ball during the winning streak. They have allowed just 57 points (19 per game) in those three games.

Betting Outlook

Although the Lions come into this one as the hotter team, the oddsmakers still believe that the Bills are the significantly better squad. The Bills are 5-4-1 ATS on the season but have lost three of their last four. The Lions, on the other hand, are 6-4 ATS on the season and have won three of their last four.
