Detroit to Host 2024 NFL Draft

The NFL announced today that it has partnered with the Detroit Lions to host the 2024 NFL draft.

This is on the heels of the announcement that the Lions will be the feature team on HBO's Hard Knocks.

Monday's announcements signal the first renaissance for the city since Little Caesars was founded in 1959.
The Red Wings and Tigers may have had some success in between, but let's be honest, Detroit Style pizza has had a more significant influence than anything coming out of Michigan as of late.

Well, that may be a bit extreme, but it is a nice turn of events for a city and sports community that was once lush with success.
"The draft has become a prominent offseason event across the country, and we are excited to work with the Lions and their partners to bring the 2024 NFL Draft to the Motor City," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement.
This should give the hometown Lions ample time to build a more competitive team, as they currently sit as +14000 favorites to win Super Bowl LVII on the FanDuel Sportsbook.

While no dates have been set, it's expected the draft will be held in the usual timeframe of late April.
