Folks, draft season is not quite over just yet.

After seeing betting fireworks and excitement in the NFL, NBA, and NHL Drafts, next up will be the MLB Draft scheduled for Sunday, July 17 to Tuesday, July 19. Arguably the least popular amongst onlookers and bettors, as it currently stands outfielder Druw Jones will be going number one to the Baltimore Orioles.

Could we see the same shenanigans with the odds shifting hours before it gets going on July 17? Doubtful, but the way this year is going, you never know.

This will be Baltimore's second first overall pick in four years. Last season, the Pittsburgh Pirates selected catcher Henry Davis from the University of Louisville first overall. In 2020, the Detroit Tigers picked first baseman Spencer Torkelson and Baltimore picked catcher Adley Rutschman first in 2019.

Here are the current odds for the first pick in 2022 via DraftKings Sportsbook.

Let's get to know about these eight players.

Druw Jones

OF, Wesleyan (GA)Age: 18Bats: RThrows: RCommitted: Vanderbilt

Name sound familiar? Well if you guessed the son of Braves great Andruw Jones, you win. Jones has a work-in-progress swing but is considered the best defensive center fielder in the 2022 high school class. He might just be the best defensive outfielder in the draft, and scouts believe he has the ability to play shortstop as well.

He's also not rattled by hecklers.
