Monday Plays

Parlay - Soderling -865/Serena -355 - 5u to win 2.15u - I've been dumb at times betting these heavy favorites but it really doesn't matter, Soderling looks better on the ground than Ferrer imo and Serena is serving way too big to go down to Sharapova. These two won't go down.

Hewitt +105 - 6u to win 6.3u - Hewitt looks as good as he did in 2005, he looked vulnerable at times in the Monfils match but I think he has the edge against Djokovic here. I just think the odds are backwards, this may go 5 and I really think Hewitt has the edge here

Brands +6 and Querrey over looks nice but nothing decided yet

-Hewitt was a heartbreaker but it was a bad pick. He only got close cause of Djokovic's breathing problems.
-Brands was a bad pick too but his slice backhand held up along with his serve of course
-Soda/Serena parlay was a bad pick too, Sharapova came to play and it came down to Serena's serve. Soderling's match was pitiful for his standards
-Querrey is just such a disappointment, I thought he had the experience and no pressure here but he continues to choke and make errors in big moments...

I got a couple women's plays tomorrow to come back, really have to calm down with all this juice lately

Haven't decided if i want to try Berdych over Djokovic, Nadal should beat Murray but i expect at least -200 for him

Berdych will get hammered by the public who believed Federer was invincible. He's a slight dog to open at +102 at Pinnacle. I like Djokovic. He's a bitch, but he's been in this spot more than Berdych and might actually believe he can win the whole thing since Roger isn't here to prevent him from getting to a final.

I was thinking about playing him ML at +275 but I know absolutely nothing about Soeda, it was just a fade of Dent. Been mostly focusing on WTA this year and have not been following the Challenger Tour, what kind of game does he play?

Soeda is a quick defensive type guy with very solid stuff off the ground. I saw 2 of his matches, his loss at the final to Berankis and his loss in the last round of qualifying to Jesse Witten, his return has been nice and I think he is gonna trouble Dent a lot more than people expect. He also took out Guccione and Ilhan at Newport, 2 big servers.

haha but you're right it has to do more with fading Dent here, his form has been putrid on grass. he did set the record with 150mph serve i think against Djokovic

Thanks for the info JNic, might make a small value play on him. No way Dent should be a 3 to 1 favorite in his current form and Soeda from what I saw had some descent numbers. I just wanted to know his type of game because Dent plays the old school serve and volley and since you said he has a good return game, probably going to make a small value play. Might fancy his chances to go deep, but Roger-Vasselin can be dangerous on occasion. If he's serving well, Rochus is at a massive disadvantage on grass. I'd also worry that dodgy bounces might make it hard for him to play his defensive roadrunner style with any reliability.

All in all, don't like the odds. He was superb Wimbledon vs Djokovic, but a halfwit vs Chiudinelli in Halle, who's not that dissimilar to ERV. Wimbledon can inspire ..... but Newport is a very small event, very low key, and may do the opposite.
