Well I can read Ukrainian so hopefully this is right but unless I'm looped that's saying Brianti Kucova. (p's are r's in the Russian alphabet, h's are n's, b's are v's).

I'm literally just starting to look now. Someone posted on TI that Rezai filed charges a week ago against her father for extortion and acts of violence. Immediately I'd lean to taking Riske but often when we "think" a player should lose because of their personal life ie Gajdosova playing immediately after splitting from her hubby, they come out and play like wild women and destroy their opponents.

That's as far as I've gotten so far other than throwing Hantuchova into a parlay yet again. She's been solid for me for ages now. Surprised at that considering how I used to avoid her like the plague.

Well I didn't do much better. A push and a loss.

Erakovic with her 9 DF's, 2 in one game in the 3rd to get broken. If she could fix her serve she'd be a hell of a player. Everything else is there but her serve just lets her down too much.

This is a kind of day that makes SBR newbies lose their mind (they begin tailing earlier in the week, get down 3-4 units, then curse out their luck/your picks and stop tailing... then see 5-0 and go all in on a single baseball play on Saturday afternoon that loses in the bottom of the 9th when their closer walks five consecutive batters with two outs)

Fortunately, smarter SBR posters like myself know better than that.

Yeah you're probably right.

I feel badly because I noticed when I was grading my bets that I only put the women down as 0.5x when I actually took them for 1x but it's all good. As long as they won that's all that matters at this point.

I'm not sure if it's coincidence or if it actually makes a difference but today is the first time in awhile that I've had the time to sit down for close to 2hrs and go through every match with all of my stats. No work, son was asleep - just peace. Lately I've been so rushed that I'm trying to do 3 things at once and just get bets in on time before they start. I even had the time to call a friend in the States and ask her about all of the doubles matches today which I rarely play but that's how Nestor/Mirnyi got in there.

I'm really going to make an effort from now on to basically schedule in tennis time each day with no distractions. My life's so hectic now that I think I have to. I really felt good about these plays today, especially the women and if I hadn't been struggling this week I would've definitely put 2-3x on Hantuchova with at least 1x on the rest. Instead I chickened out because of my crappy week and it cost me money. Even if the plays had lost, at least I would've known I couldn't possibly do any more than I did.

Isn't that the way? Cannot count the amount of times I got gun shy from a losing streak and missed out on winners. Such a grind, this is.

I wouldn't change a thing if I were you. That is, betting 2-3x when you are on a good run is probably a recipe for disaster for most of us (and a recipe for worse ROI for successful bettors like yourself). Just flat betting is probably the way.

I'm sure if you think real hard you can think of multiple instances when you had hours to research and ended up on the wrong end of a 1-4 cay.

It's variance. If you move away from flat betting too much you liken yourself to a roulette player. This is a good thing for most of us, but a bad thing for you.

Yeah Mirar, I've definitely had crappy ass days after putting a ton of work into my plays. Too many to count

Today was nice though. I was actually able to look at stats and had time to debate a few plays before putting my bets in although I got a worse price on Lisicki and skipped the Ward handicap after it dropped because of that extra time.

And no, I'll never be the one to jump my units up regularly. I don't have the stomach for it and when my units are $200 a pop, the damage can be quite severe when I get one wrong. That's why I've only done spotpicked a handful of times in here, even when I've been on great runs. Today though I had Hantu at an almost 87% chance of winning. So obviously at the price she was, that signals a bigger play than 1 unit but I couldn't do it. Not when I'm trending down. Which I know is variance but still sucks when you're in the middle of it
