wow gasquet and stosur both choking in the 2nd set tiebreaks to take the matches could have been a big day if those parlays cashed. should have put more than $100 on becker straight up i put $100 on the parlay +225 with gasquet probably bad money management

Sorry I wasn't around for most of the matches or to answer questions - I was exhausted and needed a good night sleep. I don't even know the results of all the matches yet but my accounts are up a bit more than I started out with so it seems I managed to eke out a small profit somehow. I did get to watch Cuevas and Zemlja take the first set and then lose the match. I think that's a new strategy I'm going to try with dogs +200 and higher - take them to win the first set for a little. Seems they come out strong and then fade away as the match progresses allowing the big favourite to take control and win. Will see how it goes.

Sorry guys - was over at a friend's watching the Utah game and then some cricket.
Starting to look at lines now. I really loved Becker because he's made me money the past 2 days and Marchenko looked beaten up and winded even in the 1st set yesterday until I looked at the lines and learned he's also due to play qualifiers in Basel tomorrow or the day after. The line has been pulled at one of my books too.
So... yeah, I like him but I wouldn't risk too much on him at this price now.Comment -

Or he realises he has no hope to go much further past this match and will save energy to earn some extra cash at Basel. But I'm going to ignore all of that and pretend I didn't know about Basel. Becker to me at this price now is not in the range that I feel comfortable with as he has been known to lose silly matches in the past and Marchenko isn't a complete scrub. When he was in $1.70 range though, he would've surpassed the chance I gave him of winning and I would've been all over that line.

Gee - I'm still looking at the Clijsters/Vera match and I think if we make any bets on it, we're going to have to just make a few assumptions and hope we're right.
What we know: Whomever loses plays Stosur - whomever wins plays Woz. Pretty screwed up concept when you think about it because there's not a lot of motivation for someone to win this one because then you'll get stuck playing the World #1. However, while playing Sam may not be so bad for Kimmy, it's not a great prospect for Vera especially since Sam gets to rest today. So maybe this will be Vera's motivation to actually play to win in this one.
Kim is not a tanker but she's also not getting any younger and is playing with a supposedly injured foot and may decide to rest in this one and take her chances against Sam instead of risking burning out. The prize for winning the whole tournament undefeated is only $100k more than losing one match. If you lose two matches but still win Doha your prize is $200k less. Not sure losing one match will really mean that much to either of these women but if they're thinking long-term in the tournament and realise they may lose another one, they may try their hardest today so they're only down a possible 100k rather than 200k. Or they could decide they'd rather have a better shot at the whole thing and don't give a rats ass about the bonus for being undefeated.
I really think the only way to go in this one if we're going to bet it is the under and leave everything else alone. That of course is with the hope that one or both of them decide to smartly tank this one. Tough call though because there are so many unusual factors involved.Comment -
