I really don't like Seppi on this surface and facing Lucky Losers at home is always a bit frightening but I think he should be ok if he plays half decently. Baggy - still hard for me to say. He could fade after a good run last week and since this is his first match here this year, we have no clue how motivated he is. But the same goes with Seppi - if Baggy wants to win this match and his serve is working, he'll win. If Phau takes him to 3 sets though, I stand by what I said about Baggy last week: get out of your bet if you can as he just hasn't seemed fit enough to go the distance for awhile now.

Hanescu/Ram: The guy Hanescu is playing sucks balls and Hanescu has already shown in his first match (when I faded his dodgy ass) that he at least may want to be here. Downside: He's a dirty fixer so you can never be safe laying heavy chalk with him. If you take him, just cross your fingers that he's finally going to play it straight and flat bet it.
Marchenko/Kravchuk: Marchenko got through to this round because Istomin started pouting and retired when it looked like he was going to lose the match so it's hard to properly gauge his form. Marchenko's form hasn't been the best but this is his strongest surface so if he's going to turn it around, now would be his chance. But Kravchuk is a scrappy guy who made his way through the qualifiers to be here and this is also his strongest surface. Plus he has the added bonus of being a Russian in Russia. For me this equals no play or else a small play on Kravchuk I guess.
Mathieu/Becker: I didn't watch his first match so I have no clue on Mathieu's form but this is his worst surface. Becker's match yesterday I watched and he was fairly strong, his serve was getting in and he stayed focus mentally on the court. Plus after grass this surface is where he has the most success. At first glance Mathieu should beat him but I personally wouldn't feel right recommending that bet here and I think it will be a hard match for either player to win. Although the bouncy odds movement is a bit of a worry, if I was going to take anyone it'd be Becker as I just don't trust Mathieu to put in the effort to win it if it gets tough.Comment -

I don't have a forum record yet. Started this thread just to give my plays on one particular day and it kind of just snowballed from there somehow. It literally was supposed to be a one day thing - that's the reason for the shonky title of the thread. I keep a personal record of all of my plays but that doesn't really apply here since I sometimes miss posting in time or don't feel comfortable having people tail certain ones if I'm taking a bit more of a risk. I have started to compile my SBR record (for the 3rd time thanks to 2 laptops blowing up on me) and it will be coming hopefully sooner than later although I've posted so many damn plays every day that it's taking ages to do and each day that passes makes it that much worse. It won't be entirely accurate since I now post everything on here as either 1 unit or 'small' plays although I'm actually fluctuating bet amounts IRL. I just don't want to have any part of encouraging people to bet more than they feel comfortable with or an amount that is unrealistic for their bankroll so I leave that decision in their hands. For what it's worth for the time being though, I actually do quite ok in tennis since I tend to avoid heavy chalk for the most part and just try to pick and choose my spots. And I hope I've helped others make a bit of cash as well. Hope that helps a bit.

A few reasons including the fact that Monfils hasn't played on this surface in over a month whereas this is Darcis' 5th match at Montpelier and hasn't dropped a set yet this week and Monfils is quite often troubled by players who strongly rely on their returning skills but mainly because number wise it doesn't make sense for me to pass up Darcis when the odds I'm receiving are higher than the chance I've given him to win. My larger bet is on the handicap but for all I know Monfils will end up wiping the court with him but the way I've capped this match, I can't see this being an easy victory on either side. It's starting to look like I should've taken Becker in straights. So happy I had the chance to watch his match yesterday - it honestly makes such a huge difference when trying to pick a winner and I put more on him than I normally would've if I hadn't.
