This is the very reason why I didn't take Federer today. He opened at around -430 and it looks like a steal but in these non-major's Federer is beatable. Do I think he will lose to Gulbis today? No. But it is alot better to watch this match right now knowing that I don't have to sweat out a -480 bet on it.

second set Gulbis
This is just one of those matches where you know Gulbis will screw it up somehow
And Gulbis consolidates the break 4-2 lead in the third set. wow.
This could be a public burial here. Hope none of you guys took the -440 or higher on Fed

Federer clearly doesn't have the same desire for anything but slams these days. I heard a rumor once that Federer is mad at the ATP for making it that the players HAVE to play a certain number of masters series events and he might lose on purpose to stick it to them. I don't think he would go that far but who knows

Of course this happens in the match right when I have to leave just like in the Monaco match yesterday where he was serving for the match and was broken when I had to go. I hope your guys bets pan out today. I will be back in a couple hours

Gotta give Fed some credit late in this one. Gulbis choked up 5-4 and Fed fought off I think at least 5 match points, one was a double fault. 5-5, Fed serving. I kinda hope he wins because Gulbis is a dolt.

Federer blows it. No shocker except maybe how it happened. You cannot sit out a month and come back on a unique surface like clay against someone like Gulbis who has been winning lately and expect to waltz to a win. Don't know Fed's schedule from here to Roland Garros, but he best have put himself into some more tourneys on dirt.

Really thought that when Fed got the break back that he would pull it out. Instead he gets broken and then loses 0-40 to end that match. I say to hell with Fed. He should stay away. When he comes to play an event like this he is taking away a spot from somebody else. Fed is way more popular for people to watch but at least the other person would actually try. Also, it's not like Fed just all of a sudden came to a clay court today. He started playing clay courts after he lost in Miami.

Yeah but practicing on clay and playing against ATP level competition are different beasts. Practice isn't going to get you solely prepped for the French. I just think his prep was much better last year. He played three tournaments and spaced them out in between the end of the hard courts and the French.

Very surprising the end to that Federer match. I figured when he had broken gulbis to tie it at 5 that Federer would go on to win the match. Surprised that he lost. Roger is putting his family first now and its obviously affected his game. It is going to be hard to back him as a big favorite at this point with his bad record in these non-slam events. I hope no one here lost to much on Federer.
Nadal is now -275 to win this event. Big change in price now that Federer is out.
Some interesting matches tomorrow. Berdych/Wawrinka should be a good match. The Andy Murray match is about to start very soon here.Think I am going to watch that. Did anyone end up taking Murray? Probably not worth it on clay at -288 given his recent form.

Murray gets the double break in the first set. Its more Seppi playing bad then Murray playing good. I am still not really sold on Murray on this surface. Might be a good player to fade this tournament

Didn't touch the Murray match. Bellucci finished off a solid day for me. Leaning toward Wawrinka for tomorrow. I kept watch on that Berdych-Granollers match and Berdych was not as impressive as that 6-3, 6-3 scoreline. He played well in the 1st, but then it was a WTA match in the 2nd where a better player would have consolidated some of the many breaks against Berdych and pushed him to a 3rd set. I think WaWa is in a good groove on clay and would gladly take plus odds on him. Of the other prices I see, Volandri has my interest at plus money against Benneteau. Benneteau is rarely a threat on clay, while Volandri is a clay specialist on the Challenger level and playing in his home country where he's been for the better part of a month playing on dirt. Also like that Benneteau has to adjust from the game of Querrey to a contrasting style. One I'm looking at. Hoping some of the other lines will provide better parlay options. Want to see where Ljuibic and Almagro is set. I thought Ljubicic was a decent dark horse in his quarter and Almagro hasn't been living up to his reputation as a good dirt baller lately ... frankly surprised that he gets favorite tags against some guys. I'm hoping he gets one here though, because I'd side with Ljubicic I think.

Nice hit on that parlay Eagles
Its a tough call on that Wawrinka match. Odds are perfect for it I think. Can make an argument for either player winning.
Volandri is definately a good play for tomorrow. I don't like Benneteau at all and fading him getting a dog price for a player playing infront of his home crowd, sign me up
What do you think about Garcia-Lopez over Hewitt as a +152 dog? Injury concerns as you mentioned from Hewitt plus he had the tough 3 set match against Youzhny yesterday. I think he is worth a play at +152
