Anyone know why he's throwing this game? Zero motivation and just taking practice swings?

This tip was why I stayed away:

Can you take Paire seriously and expect this dude to show up for a tournament just prior Roland Garros. I can't see his focus being 100% or even 75%. His disappeared once again and has lost 3 of last 4 matches. And sole win was a quick tank job retirement by Tomic, so he actually has not scored a legit win in last 4 matches.

Benoit has never won a main draw match in Nice, going 0-3. So Paire! Furthermore, he has not won a set in this tournament losing 2-0 against Hanescu, ERV and Monaco. And he was stuffed 6-1, 6-3 by Mannarino at Indian Wells in March. Obviously that was not clay but still. The most important thing here is that you cannot be sure about Paire actually showing up and play best to his ability. He got a bye in R1, so money's already good, no need to work hard this week.
