You still going to do that Russian Roulette you mentioned a week or so back?

You didn't make Leo Mayer over Gulbis an official play EP? I know you won that one.

I'm watching to see how these tournaments play out for the Russian Roulette deal. Been busier at work right now, moving offices, so might hold off a bit. Did not have that Mayer play as "official." Berrer didn't make things easy, but a win is a win.

Play #21: [ATP - Rotterdam] James Blake -115 Blake wins or Baghdatis is going to quit today. There seems to be some inside info trading hands around the net that Baghdatis' shoulder tendinitis or whatever it is, is not completely gone. I'll take the shot with the most hated man in tennis betting, but I guy I love to h8.

You must have the greatest luck in life sportscash, tailing one of my FEW winners. Red hot 33% win rate. James Blake, why do I ever back you. I get out and you keep sucking me back in! Rule #1. Don't trust Russians. Rule #2. F*ck James Blake as a favorite.

Interesting lines tomorrow, should have some more horrible picks that will pay to fade!

Play #22: [ATP - San Jose] Bjorn Phau -125 Phau is one of those guys who once in awhile will get on a run and make it a little deeper in a tournament than you expect. He walloped Jeremy Chardy who is in miserable form to start 2010, but nonetheless a huge talent. Beranakis has been mostly a challenger level player to this point and beating Ginepri I think is more of a statement about where the American is at now. If Phau can serve anywhere in the neighborhood that he did against Chardy, I like his chances.

Like the phau play. More importantly agree with your characterization of chardy. Is he on auto fade as a fave?

I think so until he wins consistently. I really thought he had a chance to be a breakout guy in 2010, break into the Top 20 or so, but he's just been frickin' horrible. I mean losing is one thing, but he's been getting totally rolled by guys he should beat with ease. He's barely winning any games. I can only think he's carrying some sort of injury. That or he joins the growing list of untrustable Frenchies.

Yeah I bet him consistantly in brisbane and auckland on similar reasoning. Ideed I wrote that he should break through. Oh well cest la vie.

I am the kiss of death. Phau was up a break in the 1st serving for the set, lost a tie break. Up a break in the 2nd, now on-serve and destined for either a late set choke or tie break loss. I need to just bet opposite of my gut right now. So Michael Russell should be gold today because I was going to go with Malisse for my next pick.

Play #23: [ATP - San Jose] Michael Russell -105 Reverse the curse and going for title of worst capper on SBR with this pick. I actually would pick Xavier Malisse, but hell maybe he is in a let down spot from beating Stepanek - doubt it since I am off Malisse now. So go Russell. If it loses and my reverseness Fs me in the A, I'll be going on tennis sabatical.

Low and behold, oppo psycho works. Russell wins in straights. Would take Querrey next. So the oppo play is Dent, but I believe oppo plays only serve to straighten you out once. See if the Sam-urai is back on track. Laying off as hitting 1/2 two days in a row feels like I am a f-ing world beater.

Yeah I thought it was going to a 3rd set for sure. Maybe this was what I need to start turning this bullshotola around. Monfils-Youzhny tomorrow is an interesting one. Gonna watch where the line goes tonight. Both are seemingly in good form, although Youzhny hasn't beaten anyone worth a crap yet and narrowly escaped in the 1st round. Leaning to Monfils, but would like a price around -130 or lower. At the current odds, probably a no bet.

I'm a big monfils backer but he just seems beatable so far this season. Both have injury issues, monfils always and youzhny with a w/drawl in the AO. Definitely gonna blog about this one.

he plays Youzhny pretty hard no matter what so he might go hard and then lay an egg in the next match.

Play #24: [ATP - Brazil Open] Lukasz Kubot +220 It's all about the serve. If Kubot's is working, he will give Montanes a run. Montanes has never done overly well at this tournament, so despite his better clay court game at this point, I'm giving the Pole a decent shot today. The over at 22 also looks like a solid shot, but if the serve isn't working - Montanes could potentially end it in two or vice versa for all I know. So I'll stick with the money line.

Good way to make a dent into the massive negative unit total that I got myself into. Kubot wiped the court with Montanes: 6-2, 6-2.

Play #25: [ATP - Brazil Open] Igor Andreev -165 Interesting match-up between Andreev and Kubot. Kubot has been on fire in this tournament and in-general to start of 2010. Andreev has flashed some decent form in this tournament with only a little hiccup in the 2nd round having to go three sets to win. Otherwise, he's dropped just 6 games in his two other matches. Going with Andreev here as I believe fatigue may catch Kubot who played two matches yesterday and a double match. He did not spend an overwhelming amount of time on court, but his serve has to be a solid weapon and fatigue often throws that off first. Andreev's 1st serve has been a big winner this week and I think if it stays that way, he outlasts Kubot in this one.

Play #26: [Parlay] Ferrero/Roddick +113 Roddick owns the San Jose tournament and showed his nerve again with the rally against Querrey. Verdasco just hasn't proven reliable in finals at this stage of his career. JCF takes on the Polish surprise, Lukasz Kubot. Kubot is the breakout player of 2010, period. Weird to find a player at age 27 being that sort, but he certainly is playing the part. Unfortunately today, JCF is his opponent. Looking healthy and rarely outclassed on dirt, looking for Ferrero to snag his first title of the season today.

JCF rolling as Kubot finally ran out of gas. That guy is gonna have to make a choice if he keeps having singles success on whether he needs to foresake some doubles matches in the name of perhaps having a chance to continue singles success. Let's see if A-Rod bones the 2nd leg of this parlay now.
