    DPT Sportsbook Group Review (short)

Hey everyone after doing some searching on here I decided to try abcislands and wanted to share my experience thus far with this B rated book.

8/11/08 called and spoke to Mark at CS and he answered all questions and ensured me they don't cut limits and don't cancel accounts. He also let me know the payout problems they experience regarding clients in the U.S. (will get to that below) We setup an acct and I proceeded to send them a ** deposit things were credited and pretty well. I then proceeded to hit a few parlays and run my balance up over 11k.

So this is where the downfall of this book comes into play. The website has been moderately unreliable at times and I have had to do work arounds like... Visit the cached google page and log in through their cause the entry page was down.

Also they have a major issue in regards to how payouts are processed... Max they can do is 500.00 by ** (per 7 days) and max of 1k for ** per day. I made a few successful withdrawls then today (friday) was told that since yesterday was a big day for players they had maxed out all their ** Withdrawls for today and it was only 10:00 A.M. CST. THIS IS A HUGE FLAW... I understand the state of the industry but they have no way to cut a check... bank wires have to be at least 5k and take 10-15 business days. OH by the way... ** fee is 92.00 for a WD and ** is 62.00. Kind of defeats the purpose of crediting **/** deposit fees when they collect on the back end.

Customer Service has been Stellar... usually acct is credited within minutes after a win. Phone is picked up always within a few rings with NO hold time. Online chat is spotty so those that are a fan of that... yeah don't expect much. Customer Service is also surprisingly friendly.

Overall lines are in line with a typical -110 book... they have pretty decent limits (I was betting 1500.00 on some MLB games).

Another huge flaw is MAKE SURE to have CS clarify some things with you. I BOUGHT IN to their weekly blackjack tournament which IS NOT a free tournament and ended up winning 200.00. The win took 36hrs to be credited and then I was told that their was a rollover of 5 x on it. Nowhere did it state that and it was a BUY IN tourny. They said I had to rollover that 5x before I could make another withdrawl.. had I known that I would not have even played the tourny.

Overall so far... I have gotten paid which is great (3000.00 so far). I have been able to talk to people when I need to and have been very lucky at this book. It obviously has some downfalls listed above and I am still on the ropes regarding this book.

Take my review with a grain of salt... I just know the info on this group and book is somewhat spotty on this site after searching the forums most posts are pretty old.

Let me know if you have any questions regarding this!

Thanks for sharring your experiences with ABCIslands sir.

The one thing I do like about this family of books is that they let you know right upfront about how they feel about professional players. However, there withdraw fees are a bit high for the recreational players.

I have always been curious abt these guys because they show "steam limits" for wagering!! I just abt fell over the first time I saw that. I figured either they were a professional run place or had a great sense of humor.

I understand the Op's problems with getting out money--what i would like to hear is if anybody is playing them who is using either NT or MB to withdraw? How is that going?

Glad to see this topic come up.

Thats a question I can't personally answer Katstale, however I do recall that the DPT family of books does keep there Neteller account depleted most times. Because not many people seem to use that service anymore, however I'm not sure about Moneybookers though.

Thanks for the review. After reading it I'd think you would agree with the B rating?

    Hey John...

The only real problem with this book is the payouts but judging from where the industry is today...

    I would say solid B maybe B+(ish)

Now rewind the clock even 2 years ago and this would be a C book in my opinion if the payout issues were how they are now... and the fee's are just a tad annoying still.

It just shows how sad some of the industry has become, we are so grateful to find a book that pays us consistently in a timely fashion that we are willing to put up with 92.00 fee's to withdrawl and also willing to put up with a limit of withdrawing 1k a day type stuff... just my opinion... f'n usa.

Not everyone is willing to put up with the outrageous fees they charge sir. Although, I for one don't mind it due to the fact of what they offer, as well as there limits. I mean the higher prop wagering limits they offer is just one example of why I can live with it.

Good to hear about quick access through the lesser used methods.
