    VBET cancelled winning bet

On 2020 February 29th I've made a deposit of 500 eur to Vbet (my first deposit here). Placed two bets of total 500 eur on Thailand basketball league match Mekong Raptors - ZNO Eagles 1st quarter over 63.5 and over 62.5. 1st quarter ended in 35-38 so the bets are won. Vbet decided to cancel bets and return initial stakes following their rule:

16.1 In case of possible interference in the match result and the formation of the coefficients for the match (including cases of suspicion in match-fixing), Vbet reserves the right to suspend the payments on this event or to cancel the bets on this match, as well as hand over the information on relevant side to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and prevention of similar incidents.

However, they haven't provided any proof that this match might have been fixed, they only guessing. I have already submitted complain and hoping for any help.

    Are you located in Thailand?

Why did you join Vbet to bet this match? Were the odds better than other books?

    I am from Lithuania.

I have joined them before but never made a deposit till yesterday. They were one of the few bookies which offered Thailand basketball league. Odds were everywhere quite the same, no arbitrage was possible.

Placed this match on asia bookies as well, and they did not cancelled bets.

Over 63,5 for a quarter in a "bad" 10minute a quarter league. Smells fishy. In those leagues normally quarters have between 35-45 points.

How did you get the idea of betting this? I would never even think about betting this high number on a league like this, only nba thats possible but they play no D and have 12 min quarters.

I am watching this league games on youtube. Live streams available there. Game was very fast and in my opinion lines were not correct for such game pace. Normally in this league this year they score 60 pts in quarter.

Edit: ive placed a bet on LIVE after I watched 4 mins of gameplay

Those game really ook strange. In the first 4 games the scores for those teams have been below 160 points and suddenly they are 260. I guess thats why the site cancelled. Looks very fixed.

If you submit a Sportsbook Complaint form we can ask a manager in there what happened here for you.

BetConstruct (VBET is their consumer-facing rec book) has an excellent risk management department. They don't scam (nor do they need to); they sponsor Arsenal.

If BC says there is suspected match fixing, that's all you need to know. They canceled the bets; both winning and losing. They don't owe you any proof, and really there isn't anything to show you.

    Chillidog isn't a shill.

He is kind of correct about how proficient their risk management is. They are certainly on top of anything that even smells a little.

But I was surprised in his utter confidence in them too.

I think they over react too often, are not always correct and muck people around way too much in general.

Nonsense - only official body can confirm it was fixed or not without confirmation cancel bet is just scam

VBET doesn't need to scam you out of your small bet on Thailand basketball.

I work in the industry; BetConstruct is well-known for being on the ball in terms of risk management. It's hard to beat them.

I can see why insiders might think that way.

Widespread end-user opinion does differ though. And I was talking from lots of direct experience with them.

I dont deny it could be fixed. But just telling "suspicious odds movement" isnt enough proof for fixing. In this case they could do anything they want.

Thank you, i have already submitted complain on 29th of February.

I do also, Opti. It's because their partners in crime don't pay if you win "too much". From that point of view, shilldog is right: they have indeed a risk management which is hard to beat
