Has anyone gotten their account closed due to winning too much?

A book just closed my account. They said someone will contact me regarding the issue but there is no timeframe. What happens to the funds.

Name the book - both of you. I'm fairly certain it is not a top sportsbook.

Generally speaking, if you are winning too much with a top rated book, they will limit your action and NOT close your account. They will never steal your money. If you did something you know is wrong yes they might take $$ it all depends.

Play with A+ books and you will never have these problems if you an honest player. Don't be a bonus whore, they routinely get fuked and act confused WHY when it happens.

I tell you what... I will give you a 100% bonus subject to 3x rollover and take all of your action no limits... deal? Just send me your money and we will get started.

They should send you your balance if it is simply for winning for too much as you say.

Don't let your balances become more than $5k in a non A rated book. Your account say $15,000, could be -EV to payoff vs the negative backlash of a random account claiming to be unpaid on a sports forum.

Ethically, people should always be paid. Problem is these smaller books won't pay out huge sums quickly.

Been given the boot by two books for winning too much playing Roulette. One of them is pretty reputable, the other not so much. Both places end up paying my balance with money orders.

If you have never had an account closed for winning, you might want to stop betting.

I've had my account closed for winning too much at Youwager, Betpop, Wagerweb, and, back in the day, BetUS. I got paid in full on all of them, except for the fact that they often demanded paying me in a method where I had to pay high payout fees

I was just curious; I am still waiting for my reason. Spoke to live chat again but they said someone will contact me and live chat doesn't have any control over the matter.

I did have dinner at the border of NJ the night prior to my account being closed (I was making bets) and I read that people have their account suspended due to "geolocation". I will name the book once I actually get an answer from them.

Also about the withdrawal, one person said it was processed and I would get it in 1-3 business day but didn't get it yet. This conversation was 2 days before account being closed.

(05:24:48 PM) a: is there an update with my withdrawal?
(05:25:20 PM) *** Johan joined the chat ***
(05:25:38 PM) Johan: Hello, let me have a check on that.
    (05:25:48 PM) a: ok
(05:28:00 PM) Johan: Thanks for the wait as per checking it is already processed on our end. please wait for it to reflect on your bank account for 1-3 business days.
    (05:31:48 PM) a: ok
(05:32:00 PM) a: but it still says pending on my account
(05:32:09 PM) Johan: Probably tomorrow you can get your money.
(05:32:16 PM) Johan: You can still cancel it?
    (05:32:21 PM) a: yes
(05:32:53 PM) a: glitch or error maybe?
(05:32:56 PM) Johan: I see, I will escalate this to the finance team and you will be contacted via email for updates,
    (05:33:05 PM) a: ok thanks
(05:34:42 PM) Johan: is there anything else?
    (05:35:03 PM) a: nope
    (05:35:06 PM) a: thanks

    Are you sure about this?
It does't seem to make any sense.
What is the reason that they gave you?
The only thing that I can think of is they wanted to take your winnings. so they closed your account and took your winnings?
Or you were betting against another player to rollover a bonus or maybe doing some bonus strategy that they caught?

It happened to me many times maybe 8 maybe 9. Well, it's part of the business, sometimes it happens. Some books are honest, some are not. It suggest to not keep above 5-6k in soft bookmakers.

That's pretty small beer for them. Just don't dick them around wrt bonuses, they are _very_ strict with that.

Pinnacle is a sharp book. Sharp books are reliable and safe. AC is also a reliable broker service. I had times where I kept 100k+ and didn't had any problems. My advice was for recreational books like ladbrokes, williamhill.

I don’t get why books would close an account for winning too much unless they want to steal your balance or you are betting on events that they can’t cover themselves on, or if they thought that you were taking bets only they were profiting on i.e negative ev bets for them.

Surely they make money from the spread i.e by taking both sides of the action and then profiting in the middle, so it doesn’t matter whether or not your account wins or loses because they will make it up from another account and take the price differences as profit in the middle.

Also, if they thought that you were an insider or had ‘special knowledge’ surely they could use that information to their advantage and adjust their profit/loss ratios on those events accordingly.

Thoughts? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick here?

I only play Roulette. Don't bet on the books or play anything else. Both times, I logged on my account and it says account is not found or invalid. Contacted support and they just told me my account was closed without any reasoning. I am assuming because I ran my deposit up so far and so much they probably think I am not a profitable customer to them so they gave me the booth. All that matters at the end was I got paid. I never take out any bonuses since I hate the rollovers.

Any decent casino will welcome you with open arms as a roulette high roller, make sure you use one that gives you comps etc for your level of play and that can handle your action!

Books would rather have 60% on the wrong side AND get vig then have 50% on each side and just collect vig. Most books know when lines are inflated and aren't really gleaning much from a winning bettor: they're just trying to get squares to take the wrong side of an inflated line. Some books actually do want to learn info from winning bettors though, but want to lose the least $ in getting that information, so they cut limits (collar) to very little for those bettors. For example, I now only have a $50 limit at one prominent book, and my $50 bet will move a line as much as a multi-thousand dollar bet from a square bettor.

From what I saw, definitely not. I've seen some bad complaints with them. I've always steered clear.

And yes, of course books will close your accounts for winning too much. I can hardly bet anywhere these days.

Not fully closed, but extremely limited. I love 5Dimes, but they're quick to pull the trigger on limiting my plays, or so it would seem. I notice it mostly when I have a large single play and then add that same play to large 2 or 3-team parlays.

While I fully understand doing so, I feel as if they do it a little too quickly.

you give them free sharp information for a 50 dollar bet, why?
