Bet Online - Shorted Hundreds on Deposit

I made a large btc deposit on Thursday with Bet Online. On Friday, I spoke with chat because I still had not received the funds. I was told that they were having an issue with their processor and that was the reason for the delay, despite the fact that the btc transaction had already confirmed many hours ago. I was then told I would be notified again within hours about the status of the deposit. This morning, I still had not received notification or the funds. I spoke with chat again and they again said there was a delay with crediting my account. Within an hour or so of that, I finally had the funds credited - but at the current btc exchange rate at the time they finally decided to credit my account, not at the initial deposit, resulting in the loss of several hundred dollars.

I've had these things happen on payouts, but never on deposits, and never for anything close to this amount. Their broken website is giving me the rate-limiting error so I can't access live chat, not that I really expect them to do anything about it, but I thought I'd add my situation to the litany of issues people have been having recently.

Do you know if the deposit had a confirmation within the 15 minute window?

I'd imagine they should honor the rate if so.

If you cant work it out with them, send in a sportsbook complaint form and SBR can ask a manager to review it for you.

I know it was sent within the 15 minute window. Is there a way for me to see when the first confirmation was? I can see when the transaction was received, but not each confirmation. in any case whether or not it was within the 15 minutes it's pretty clear they used the exchange rate of this morning, not when it was received, let alone sent. I will update once I've been in contact with them again.

If it was their problem and not due to the network I think they should honor the initial price.

If you don't want to involve SBR send an email and ask for it to go to a manager for review.

I’m not sure but I think if you look up your transaction ID at blockchain.info, you can see the amount at the time it was received. I know you can see the amount at the time it was sent by you, but that obviously doesn’t matter.

    Good luck.

You can lookup the transaction on Blockchain.com/explorer by entering the transaction ID or the receiving address and then selecting the transaction corresponding to your deposit. It will tell you how long after you initiated the transaction it took to get confirmed. You can then correlate it with when you initiated the transaction on BetOnline. Even if it took 20-30 minutes after, it shouldn't have dropped several hundred dollars unless it took days to confirm (which I doubt unless you sent with no fee).
