Well that's great and all that millions arent missing over there but it doesnt change the fact that having employees (and low level ones at that) know player PWs is an extremely flawed system. Its 1.) not necessary and 2.) dangerous. Poker Stars (and every other poker site I have ever used) seems to do just fine without it. And their response to me questioning it is like "oh well 1.) were honest and 2.) were in Panama and no one can log on while being it Panama." Sick security.

Tbh, I dont understand why everyone isn't discontent with this system. Tell me why this couldn't happen:

Employee xyz memorizes a player login and PW over the course of a day. They are dishonest or angry at the company or the way the player spoke to them. They then get home, load a VPN, log on to the players account and do whatever they want.

Seriously, am I just missing something?

How do you expect to get serviced then ? By machines?

So your saying that a bank teller could memorize your info and then go home load a VPN and transfer all the cash ? Most of those clerks are just trying to make a living and get out of the job and go home.

Your reasoning is then that CS reps worldwide in all industries are crooks..

If your scared of a clerk asking you for your password to place a wager , then your too paranoid and should not even be near a computer.

Obviously, it's horrible. My point was that something additional is very wrong at BOL.

Perhaps similar to the rest of the world? Whilst standard in Costa Rica and Panama it is not anywhere else.

    How about security questions?

No. There would be a clear record of where that money went. And what would they say I just gave them the money because we have the same favorite color?

BOL is literally the only company I have ever dealt with that asks/knows my password (to my knowledge). There is a reason 99% of the world works opposite to BOL. And if you can't see why that is there is no point in us discussing it any further.

Also, I apologize if my recent posts come across as overly hasty and sarcastic. Just seeing another player that has been hacked for 60k has me kinda riled up again.

I am not defending Betonline nor am I calling you a liar but what are the odds that 2 new posters have gotten their accounts hacked?

Im just saying it seems a bit odd , a book that obviously has 1000s of players and 2 happen to " lose their balances" and both come on SBR , you would think you would see many more complaints like this.

I guess thats just my opinion

Sometimes I feel forums are used for all the wrong reasons

Late last night Jake messaged me and told me BOL had returned his balance. I immediately checked my account and my $4k was returned to me.

I'm pretty thrilled at this result. It's nice to see BOL making this right (although we still have to go through the cashout phase so we'll see).

I'd definitely like to thank Lou and any other member of the SBR team that helped with our situation--it's very much appreciated!

I haven't heard anything from BOL as of now. I was kind of waiting to see if they were going to email me an official statement of what happened before I submitted for a cashout. But I will probably submit a cashout soon.

I think when we are all paid there should probably be a title edit to the thread. Perhaps add "EDIT: player funds returned and paid out."

I will keep the thread updated when I ultimately receive funds.

    Nick

I believe they should stop doing poker if they cannot run it properly- It is a joke you can claim fraud as a way to slow pay a guy-

If BOL really cared about players acct they would have a better security system but since they are robing you themselves why bother lol...

Is it just me or do alot of hacked account problems crop up during low season. Was thinking it might be a good tactic for a service under stress to delay larger payouts. They still pay but when it is all said and done a hacked account case can stall a withdrawal that ends up still getting paid. Man, i must be paranoid... hope they are not still watching me...

When BOL pays big money, sbr is forced to leave them at top ratings. I know several companies that can verify this info.

Not a secret how SBR has always earned there millions- Through affiliate deals- now that it is so hard to have a top affiliate deal with the difficulty of US players to fund accounts they have to kiss ass on the ones they actually still earn off-

It sucks but they at least try to go the extra mile for you - but for those that never find SBR I can bet that they do not have the same results-

You all recall how covers had BetEd as their nr. 1 recommended book when everybody knew that BetEd was a scam. Now there is a similar situation with SBR and BOL. When organization is fraudulent or cannot follow through their obligations with integrity for whatever reasons, then one that promotes them publicly hurts their own reputation as well. It is a sad sight really
