Anyone spotted this:
"Canbet director Peter Lord says there are no plans to revive the website, which is currently offline." from ABC text.
Is this some joke? Recently we could read on their website: "In order to keep your gaming experience at the highest of standards, we are upgrading our system".
That was possible to read until a hour before, but now canbet.com is definitely offline. You can't open anything.
They decided to disappear after public disgrace?

I am more and more upset with GC... I contacted them at very early stage.. as i knew from my friend which got another account that he waited 40 days to get paid.. they didn't do anything just saying that the auditors confirmed they have sufficent founds. Those guys have to pay. I have all the corrispondence and i did several calls....what has been told me was to wait.
Also they were paying clients randomly... is that acceptable? Some got lucky ... some not (me..)
And what is that BACK LOG problem? Why now GC don't talk about this? It was bullxxxx.... but nobody did and is doing anthing.
How can an authority say something like that:
When we license an operator we look at suitability, including their financial circumstances, but we do not oversee their businesses on a day to day basis or monitor the financial health of operators directly in real time. That would impose significant regulatory costs and could give a false sense of security to customers. Instead we focus on whether the operator is ensuring that the terms and conditions that their customers sign up to are fair and open.

What is their role? Just collect money of taxes from all bookies? When and where did they help a costumer in circustamces like this? (and i could mention Globet as well).

Until you guys have your money back - although there's no guarantee of course that it'll happen - please everyone don't take my silence lately as a sign that anyone's given up. It was explained to me that by my posting updates all the time all I'm doing is playing right into Peter and Graeme's hands and giving them the chance to come up with another horseshit excuse. We saw what happened when I posted which day I was planning to visit. Everything is still progressing behind the scenes and when I'm given the ok to make progress public, I'll be right in here to let you know. No one has forgotten about you nor given up. I promise that until each of you are paid back - including what they tried to steal from you with your bonus winnings - or these guys are in prison, this is still moving forward. The UK and they've already said no several times. Books with a UK license aren't required to segregate player funds and the UK Gambling Commission has made it very clear repeatedly that they will not be of assistance to those who lost money. Keep that in mind should you play with a book holding a UK license.

The Gambling Commission Uk sells cheap gambling licensees to anyone with the money to pay for one.
After that they wash their hands of all responsibility.
At this stage, a license is permission to rob the public with no consequences.
The Gambling Commission sells licensees so that they pay for their high civil servants wages.
But their not serving the public. Its a self serving commission who regards the public as just some people who pay their wages. It looks like their main purpose is to protect private gambling company's.
I would go even so far as to say that the Gambling Commission shields private gambling companys as in the case of Canbet.
Its like giving a child a gun, and when the child accidentally shots someone, telling the person who was shot that it was their own fault by passing the child in the first place.

The gambling commission needs people to come in from the outside and do an inventory.
Because they dont seem to be capable of this internally.
Civil Servants are supposed to serve and protect the public, not help the criminals rob the public.

Quite clear now that Lord and or White are following this thread as Shari91 correctly pointed out previously that he/most likely she was 99% certain that at least one of them is following as the word "forums" was used in the email and this is the most prominent thread after all. So with that in mind Lord and White (Yes I'm talking to you!) as we now all know that you do read the threads, I personally have the mindset that I will never see my money again, so please stop talking utter guff about players getting paid etc. Do you think for a second that your company not being in administration gives any of us owed money any sound reason to believe that we might receive even a penny back from every pound owed (or other currency equivelent). If either of you two are eventually proven to have carried out criminal activity regarding your conduct as directors then I personally feel that losing every single penny of my balance would be a small price to pay just to see justice done. Your arrogance throughout this IMHO has been nothing short of staggering! I don't think I will ever see my money but as long as there is no closure on this particular subject, know this that I am prepared to do whatever I can or whatever is asked of me to help to ensure that the truth be known.
