I have a question regarding all these new SBR members with offshore problems
Every day I see a new thread or two in this forum about someone getting stiffed, accused of cheating, or locked out of an account offshore with significant money at risk and the OP is asking what to do next. Virtually every time it is a poster with no previous posts at all and a sign up day with SBR being the day they are discussing their problem.

My question is which of these is more likely or is it a combination of both.

These poster find SBR when they are researching their potential avenues regarding their current problem.
They were aware of SBR but just never felt the need or urge to establish an account until they needed SBRs help

It is a combination of both. But you cannot forget the third possibility. Books badmouthing each other, or posting about a small problem, and then congratulating the book for great CS and fixing their issue.

I never even considered that possibility. One question though.
If a book badmouthed another book wouldn't the book being libeled come into the thread and dispute the facts? Once the original poster can not come up with any real acct info wouldnt it be obvious it was all BS?

(Sorry about the triple message btw I thought they were not going through)

The reality is that even during the few years I've worked here SBR has greatly expanded it's reach outside of the US. More people visit the forum from outside of the States than within. Sometimes there are language barriers which makes people a bit shy about posting, some are purely here to read insight on plays and others bet at different books than ones who have banners here - books that are tightly regulated so don't tend to have many problems. I know from looking at a poster's activity that more have been lurking here before ever posting than merely doing a search and finding SBR. I did for a year myself. Although plenty do find SBR via a search as well of course. So it's kind of a mixed bag. As far as other books coming in if they see themselves getting slammed... some books choose to have a strong presence across multiple forums. Other books - including all of the major ones I can think of ie Pinny, SBO, Betfair, 365, Willy Hill - don't pop up at all regardless of what's being said. Not sure why but I suspect they prefer to let their hundreds of millions of dollars in annual turnover and kind of lack of actionable complaints speak for itself.

One reason people sign up to post just complaints is that it is extremely hard and time consuming to settle issues with customer service. There are not a lot of avenues one can use for offshore book disputes. Personally I think people should post more complaints about slow payouts, suspended accounts and confiscating money. I have never heard of any of these governments the books are in doing anything to police them. It is a shame that some books give all others a bad name.

A fair few will be multiaccounters, who can't use a regular SBR account because it has a different name on it :-)

i would guess 1/2 and 1/2...but ALOT just sign up 4 the help they need from a payout dispute and never contribue to the site ever again after they are or arent helped with their inital problem...whichis fine i guess..or some trying for the freebies of course

but some just like talking gambling and getting others opinions and sharing their own

when i signed up here, i had NEVER even looked at a gambling forum online b4 i signed up here 2 years ago, and i didnt have any problems either i needed help with...just wanted advice on books to join as my i used for about 15 years closed down (and paid) and now couldnt do without sbr for my nascar wagering...wouldnt want to be without those valuable posters in my sub-forum that help make me alot of money since ive joined SBR

also would never post at more than 1 forum, just dont see the point in it really, but thats just my opinion..SBR is it for me and really is the best out there by a mile, for my needs anyways

Sign up with an A or A+ book, and as long as you don't break their rules; you will be ok.

Eight...Just like WSEX. SBR had this as A+ for a long time. Now an F book.

The majority are regular SBR posters who don't want to link an account with their SBR main account or don't want their regular SBR account to go down in flames if the resolution is not what was hoped for

Many use SBR for all kinds of reasons:
Schills, personal agendas to push brands and be compensated
Service emoployess, just to get brand tractiona nd or promotions out to the public
Players, to get information on books and to share experiences to keep it real
Sponsors and or Advertisers, here to help players with questions, concerns or resolve problems as well as push bonuses and or perks
Jacka55s, just hanging out to talk smack and start sh1t... is just what they
Saints, always out to spread the gospel of the truth or facts and to bring clarity to much bullsh1t, and there is much around here
Grumps, just looking for any opportunity to start sh1t and get int an agument over anything, big annoying drama queens, love conflict
Guys in the Biz, just trying to help guys out and shed light out types of books and explain the deal from the inside, stear guys to solid books that pay and treat players well as well as warn of upcoming disasters like BetIslands... more crashs on the way. keep you eyes open
Guys and or players, that are new to the scene and do not know anything so this is a good forum to figure out whats what and many are willing to help... about slow or no pay books, bad customer service, crazy fees, and good onuses that are always coming out
The know it alls, to be taken with a graon of salt put generally always having something valuable to comment now and again..
Extortionaist and Blackmailers, that use the forum to etort freeplays, freebets and or bonuses out of a shop by threatening to post negative sh1t about the brand on the forum... they are the most offensive and weaken the power of the forum arbitrators to work with books to mediate a fair deal for both parties
A55 Holes, that just use it to smear a brand over a disagreement as little as $25 or $50 in freebet or freeplay, they piss me off the most, invariably they are a55hols that have been rude to staff and have made threads using the forums... and worst is they are only $50 depositors maybe a $100
Ghosts, additional accounts opened by OPs to push agendas that they do not want to do under their normal avatar... more bullsh1t
GMs or Uppermanagemen or Sales, usually lurking to keep an eye on whats going on in the BIZ, they are good at reading between the lines and understanding what really is going on with different services and how the BIZ dynamics are adjusting via different variables they can apply to their own operation
Consultants, just motivating by clearing the air of lies and bullshit to help guys be better informed when it comes to gaming...
I believe this covers most of it except for of course those that actually work for SBR... that would be a commentary in itself
