AFL, GOLD COAST vs ADELAIDE
ADELAIDE -27.5 @ 1.91 -2u

While it is hard to read too much into pre-season form, Adelaide do seem a much better side and are coming into round 1 as NAB Cup champs. They should be full of confidence and this matchup gives them a great chance to start the season off on the right foot. Adelaide's two biggest wins last year were both against GC by margins of 61 & 57 points and while GC have also shown signs of improvement this line seems a little too generous and I expect Adelaide to win by 40 or more. Adelaide have an almost complete clean bill of health with with few injury concerns while GC looks a little vulnerable are missing about 6 regular players through suspension or injury. GC have some talent up forward and will be able to bother the crows for parts of the game but their defenders will find it tough against the solid forward line of the visitors and I expect them to pull away to a big lead in the 2nd half.

A-League, BRISBANE ROAR vs CENTRAL COAST MARINERS
BRISBANE ROAR to WIN @ 2.05 - 1u

These two teams are becoming massive rivals. This has got to be what, their millionth matchup in the last 2 years?!?! This is a 2 leg final, with the first game at home for Brisbane. The Roar are then off to Korea for a mid-week ACL game and then back to face CCM on their home turf next weekend. That means a good start is crucial for Roar so as to ease the pressure on the return leg of their trip.

Both teams have healthy squads at their disposal and Brisbane are in strong form, they are unbeaten in their last 8 A-League games with 6 Wins and 2 Draws. Meanwhile, CCM have been both hot & cold lately with only 4 wins in their last 10, the other results being 2 draws & 4 losses. And all 4 wins came against only Wellington & Adelaide, who they controlled comfortably all year. Brisbane on the other hand have traditionally had the wood on CCM, with the only blemish in the current campaign being a loss to CCM in December, but this was when they were missing Broich & Henrique and is not an accurate representation of what we will see tomorrow.

This game will be a bit of an arm wrestle, but its not often you get Brisbane at plus odds, and considering the form they are in, I expect them to get up in this game against what is becoming their arch rivals of the A-League. Go Roar!

Just got home sorry mate, but still would def take it and they are already covering the spread in the 1st qtr! Hopefully they dont let off the gas and punish these guys good and proper. Saints should get up too but I havent had a chance to check anything on that game.

Everton v WBA - have Everton slight favs, predicting 1-0
Villa v Chelski - Blues should win against the depleted Villa, predicting 0-2
Ausburg v Cologne - best value bet, predicting 3-1
Parma v Lazio - another value play, predicting 0-1

At quick glance, Chelski really stands out for me. I like that a lot.

Fukn Geelong are in GF hangover mode, lost their defensive strength completely. This is a loss already. Sanderlands too tall and way too strong.
