Thanks for the kind words, hopefully I can keep it up. Jablonec is up 1-0 at half, and they're a second half team!

        Champions League
        Valencia PK +110 5x
        Marseille PK +105 5x
        Genk +1.5 +130 5x
        Shahktar -1 EV 10x
        Barcelona/BATE o3.5 +105 5x
        AC Milan/Plzeň o2.75 -105 5x

Valencia and Marseille are similar plays in that I think they take their wins at home with Cheslea and BVB having a couple of dubious road showings domestically and are now travelling to hungry CL teams. Chelsea and BVB certainly have the potential to win these, but I think the home squad take it, or they're draws.

Bayer hasn't been a great team this year, but they've played good defense and keep teams close once they get ahead. Genk has some scoring power and Bayer doesn't have a win by more than one this year. Thus I like Genk +1.5.

I love APOEL and think they're always due for a shocker, but I think Shahktar is too strong and will have great fan support.

I doubt BATE gets shutout with some of their recent showings and think Barça will bring it offensively. Lowest I think this would be is 3-1.

Plzeň is a solid over squad in Gambrinus, and I would expect them to at least get one on AC Milan, but AC Milan scores a tonne in CL and would like to keep up with Barça in goal differential, so it may get out of hand at San Siro.

And for the hell of it, I parlayed Marseille and Valencia at 2x to win 15x. Doubt it will hit and there will be one draw of the two, but with both at ~+200, I figured that I'd give it a shot.

Barrios back is huge. But Marseille loves these 1-1, 2-0 type scores and should be able to dictate at home. However, seeing an o2.5 at better than 2.0 is tempting me, too.

Damn it, I finally got some 'to score' lines. I would've played these instead. Ohh well.

You don't have faith in Leverkusen to thrash Genk This evening they're going to bounce back from their back-to-back defeats domestically

I'd like Bayer to get a solid win tonight for their sake, but I like what I've seen from Genk and I'm kind of still low on Leverkusen. So my money is on Genk keeping it close. We'll find out soon!

Another dumb parlay, gonna have to hide the beers till match time. Genk, BATE, and Plzeň all to score. 1x to win 8x.

Need to leave Champions League alone, ha ha; well not all that bad. Late Valencia penalty made that play hit. Minutes later, Bayer got their second to kill the Genk play. Ohh well. Shahktar definitely let me down; APOEL is always a tricky squad. Was a great day as a spectator. Alves for Valencia is an incredible keeper. And Čech had a great day too. Chelsea seems to be a pretty dirty squad.

shouldn't it be push with valencia PK here since they drew 1-1?

apoel currently first in their group with four points is indeed surprising. better not underestimate them again.

I swear, 5dimes is great. This goes in my favour as well. Same with giving me a full win with 3 goals and an o2.75. And hitting an 8 team parlay with 7 wins and a push. I like how they don't seem to grade football correctly. But I do think I'd like a book with more football and live plays, though, no bet365 in states.

APOEL should come back to earth, but they're typically a reasonably good squad. A couple of years ago, they traveled Stamford Bridge and drew with Chelsea. Not a continental giant per se, but a solid team capable of pulling off a few upsets. I do think someone will put them in their place, too, though.

(USA MLS) Real Salt Lake -1 5x

Again, psuedo-tailing my boy cogditopapa, Real Salt Lake is a great home team and fighting for playoff position, whereas Chicago Fire is basically dead in the water and a poor road team. Figured it was worth a play.

Don't think I'm playing these, but my leans in the Scandi matches are:

                                            Tromsø/Ålesund draw and over

-Tromsø has the long domestic travel, but it's ever terribly effected them. They're also a much better squad and fighting to gain ground on Molde for the top continental spot. Ålesund is a respectable 6-4 at home, but will want points to stay ahead of the relegation bar. I see this as a tough fought 2-2 draw, but it can go anyway

                                            Kvartsfinal av Svenska Cupen
                                            HIF and over

                                            - Helsingborg and Elfsborg just met a couple of matches ago which Elfsborg took 3-2 at home. However, Helsingborg made a big deal about playing on turf and that they'll be much better on natural surface. Elfsborg, though, is also slightly healthier but announce they are the underdog. Both teams are eliminated from continentals, thus will take this kvartsfinal very seriously. I think natural turf and the home crowd carries HIF, but Elfsborg scores in this crucial knockout match. Last match at Helsingborg's home ended 1-0, but I think this is a 2-1 match or more.

Tom, how have you been doing with Scandinavian games lately? Reason I ask is last year I played them a bit and had some success until this time of year, I got my teeth kicked in and haven't played them since (except Rosenborg)

Typically pretty decent, not great but maybe ~55-60%; I got 60% last month, but doubt that sticks. I'm reading more Scandinavian news this time of year with Elitserien (hockey) starting up, so I look into football a little more as the season is winding down. But as with any league, teams fighting to avoid relegation can jump up to bite you this time of year. Most Scandi leagues are solid over leagues. But as for my last results, I was 0-1-3 in Scandi plays and 3-0-0 on everything else.

Pretty good, not terribly great. It takes a bit before it gets easier to call, because of players on NHL tryouts and the such, but it's a fun league.

Saved myself the stress of looking at all those Europa Cup games, should've tailed TSO after his great day. I like these as late plays. Looking at a lot of these matches, you have to see a weaker road team going off to face a stronger team at home. Santa Fe especially is a weak road team with no wins on the road in domestic Colombia. Now they travel to Brazil to face Botafogo, who's resting a bit of talent, but their B squad should be good enough to get a Copa win at home and pot quite a few goals. Universitario is a moderate 2.5 squad, but Godoy Cruz is a huge 2.5 over squad at home. Throw in the fact it's a solid Copa match and the Argentine squad will be putting on goals. Alajuelense, lastly, scores at a ridiculous rate, especially in continentals; I would take them at -2 or -1.75, but cannot find it, just -1.25.

Hope these hit, and as always thanks to cogiditopapa for bringing these to my attention.

There are some great 2.Bundesliga plays on the docket. St. Pauli is a good home over squad, and Cottbus is a great home over squad. Hopefully St. Pauli's goal scoring and allowing prowess continue on the road to a Cottbus side that averages 4 goals scored/conceded in their arena. Other match is Bochum and Ingolstadt. Bochum is a very poor road team, but should be riding high after emerging from the cellar. Ingolstadt is 2-0 in their last two at home and 2-2-0 in their four home matches. Last 5 matches for each team have hit the over. So I like the over and Ingolstadt to win. If you have both to score in both games, take it.

Odds are I'll have some top division plays too.

You could argue defensively Hertha is about on par or slightly better than Hamburg, and far worse than Bayer. Hertha can score on tougher defenses, and Köln is coming in without 2 or 3 defenders and will likely only dress 4 defenders. I really really like the over in this. But as I joked, watch it end 1-1.

Valencia is scoring half of their goals in the first and Granada is allowing half of theirs in the first. I I like Valencia to get one early and end up winning at half and full time. To me, Barcelona B and Sabadell jumped off the page with both hitting o2.5 in 4/5 matches. Last two home matches for Barcelona B are 2-2 and 2-3 and the last two road matches for Sabadell were 2-1 and 3-4. I like those odds. The only reason I don't play it stronger is that I know nothing about the league, but the numbers work out. Last match at Blackburn was 4-3, and the last two ManCity matches on the road (aside from Bayern) were 2-2 and 1-5. I like goals in this one, even at those odds. I'd probably play o2.75 or o3 in this one.
