Just a note, All week, I have been thinking SHAKHTAR DONETSK +1.5 against Barcelona. There's a solid split line of +1/1.5 for +110 I think circulating at some books right now. Not sure if I have the nuts to pull the trigger, but I think this match is big for Donetsk after failing to make the Champions League & settling for the Europa League. Barca will want to win, but they also have their league opener at home in a few days to consider whereas Donetsk is in the middle of their league season and will have less pressure on them.

I have watched odds move like crazy in soccer, usually its 5 min before game time. Its really ****in nutz sometimes, I just sit there refreshing the page 5 min b4 game time and it amazes me how odds move. also can be really annoying when youre trying to stick your bet in and it keeps rejecting you.

Wolverhampton has looked totally inept offensively to this point. In three Premier clashes, they have scored one goal. The good news is they have not conceded more than 2 in any one match & conceded one & zero in their other two matches. In the Carling Cup competition mid-week against a lower level Swindon squad, they drew 0-0. Hull City would be nearly as dull except they played hot offensive clubs in Chelsea & Tottenham in their first two and yielded 7 goals. Hull has scored one goal in each match. The Wolves seem as if they are resigned to playing tight on the backline and hoping to sneak a goal in or take one point from each match. That would work well for my purposes here. This one looks like a 0-0, 1-0, 1-1 type of match to me.

Young Boys are unbeaten in six tries in the Swiss Super League season. Basel has one win and two draws at home this season. Young Boys beat Basel twice in the Spring in 2009 and with their current form, this one looks likely to be a draw at worst for them I think as they've beaten two of the other top three clubs in the league on the road already this season.

Play #94: [Italy Serie A] A.S. Roma vs. Juventus OVER 2.5 (-125)
Roma comes into this match in fine goal scoring form. They opened Serie A play last wekend with a 3-2 loss over Genoa, so their defense has to be questioned as well. Still, their offense was humming in Europa League play with 10 goal in two matches, while conceding 4. Juventus comes in after a sloppy 1-0 win in their Serie A opener last week vs. Chievo Verona. This certainly will be a step up in class for Roma, but their talented offense & questionable defense (backline injuries) so far look as if they could lead to some high scoring, exciting matches. The last four meetings between these two in Rome in Serie A play have yielded 17 goals. Juventus also gets their captain, Alessando Del Piero back from injury in this one. I think both teams get on the score sheet here & believe that both are capable of scoring multiple goals, so the over looks like a nifty shot.

Paid the high chalk here just in case this gets stuck on three goals, but that seems doubtful given how goals are flowing in Linz' matches early this season in Austria. In five matches, four goals is the lowest total in a Linz match this season. In three home matches this season, Linz is averaging four goals by themselves. Neustadt has played two road matches with totals of 3 in each. They have scored in all but one of their 5 Bundesliga matches so far. If Linz continues their home form here, look for them to do all the work needed to cash this one.

Draw is definitely possible, that's why I didn't want Columbus straight up. I'm hoping the Crew are hungrier for the full 3 points after getting their asses handed to them in CONCACAF play this week. If Columbus scores, I think draw is worst case scenario. If they get 2, I think they win. Clean sheet in three straight on the road, hopefully that form keeps!

Sparta Praha's defensive has been like a brick wall of late. They have four straight clean sheets, including league play & Europa League qualifying. In five leage matches, SP has conceded exactly one goal. They're no offensive juggernaut either as they have scored just 4 goals. Olomouc has played twice at home in the young season with one goal scored & one goal conceded in those matches combined. 4 of their 5 matches have played to two goals or under. The only squad Olomouc has managed to score more than one against is Bohemians who have given up a league worst 13 goals. Going against the tight defense of Sparta Praha, Olomouc would do well to score at all while SP will be looking for the odd goal to snatch all three points. This one to me seems like a 1-0, 0-0 type of match. At worst, hoping for a 1-1 draw and a half stakes win.

In two home matches this season, Silkeborg has tallied six goals and conceded three. Silkeborg has netted at least one goal in 5 of the 6 matches played so far this season & scored two goals in three straight (includes League Cup play). Odense has been far less effective defensively on the road this season. They have yielded 5 goals in three away matches, while banging home 5 goals. They have scored at least one goal in each of their six matches. Silkeborg's two home matches have gone over 3 for the total with Odense's three away matches hitting at least 3 goals. It looks like both teams should find the score sheet in this one and with current form on the home/road splits, the possibility of one of the two or both hitting for multiple goals seems like a decent shot.
