#3The other $4 from a 20-dollar bill seems reasonable. Be a big shot and let him 'keep the change'

#11I go to a chick and get the same incredibly easy #2 on sides, finger width on top. I'm there every 3-3.5 weeks and have been the last 5 years. It's $12, I pay $20. For Christmas, I give her $100 gift card to local brewery restaurant and write 'Go get drunk' in the card. When she uses it, she let's me know and invites me for a drink.
She is a smoking hot lipstick lesbian that genuinely likes me because my gaydar is spot on and I called her out the second time I met her.Comment -

#12went to barber today, he's been cutting hair for 22 years, and I asked him because there was a thread like this awhile back.
He has never once received a tip in 22 years and has never heard of such a thing. Perhaps at beauty parlors but not at a barber shop.Comment -

#13I go to a barber shop that, believe it or not, features mostly female barbers (not hair stylists mind you, they stress they went to barber school and not hair styling school).
Anyway, I just got my hair cut 2 days ago (and I look like a sexy little bitch) and she charges $16 and I normally give her $20 and go on my way. Because it was Christmas I gave her $40 total ($24 tip) but wasn't sure if I should have given more because she kind of took it in stride with no big thank you. I would much rather overtip than undertip but wasn't sure that's why I found this thread interesting.Comment -

If you ask most people I've crossed paths with, they'd say that I'm a generous tipper. I've even had service workers hand me back $$, as if I'm giving too much. I can't stand the "oh-ok" take-it-for-granted response. Pretty much guarantees a no-tip next time, or more likely take my $$ elsewhere. Coolest thing is when you catch em by surprise, "Oh, I didn't expect that." Pretty much ensures you'll be getting top-quality svc next time.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -
