I do not know about Bay of Pigs. Does it count as an invasion by the US? They send 1,000 Cubans back to Cuba to fight.

If the US invaded Cuba the way Russia invaded Ukraine they would have obliterated Castro.

LOL. The US owned Cuba and ran it like they do all Latin American countries. They had a dictator in charge that was a military general and he kept trouble down by killing people when they complained. So Castro started a revolucion. At that time, the US did not take it very seriously because there was not that much money being made there and they did not think he would win.

So Castro managed to overthrow the General and then confiscated the land and sent the rich packing without a cent. They mostly went to Florida.

Ever since the US has been trying to overthrow the Cuban government and tried to assassinate Castro I think 61 times including once with an exploding cigar but have never had any success because they remember how bad it was when the US ran it. They do not want to become Haiti.
