Yeah, everything has “side effects” - but I guess if you’ve got COPD, or getting chemo, or over 80 years old, etc., you’re probably already on some type of medication, I wonder if this would be better for you or actually make things worse? Personally, I don’t like or take any kind of medication unless I absolutely have to, but I’m young-ish, strong, healthy, and even in the very rare occasions where I catch the flu, I’m never down for more than a day or so - I think I’d take my chances with the Corona.....

The problem with comparing this to the flu is we have some protection from the flu and as far as we know we don’t from this. The flu vaccine is not 100% by any means but it does give many protection from either catching the flu or helping their body fight it off if they do get it. Also, the flu has been around for many years and most people have built up immunity towards it which again helps fight it off.

Granted most wont die from this but pretty much everyone is in danger of catching it, unlike the flu. 1 out of 6 catch the flu. 6 out of 6 could catch this. That’s a very important difference. That’s why this virus must be slowed until we can find a vaccine. I know 2 people personally that have conditions that affect their immune system and if they got this virus, chances are they would not survive. One of them is a 5 year old little girl.

In my mind anyone who just recklessly ignores this and doesn’t abide by the guidelines set by our government(whether it be local, state or federal) is a very selfish person and not thinking of others.
