Most books don't let you put plays in after the game is played, which is when he releases his winning play. Also books will not spot you any wins. Books also frown when you call them up 2 minutes before the game ends and ask them to cancel, or as Sweetjizz says,, buy it back.

He didn't need to because the Spurs had a 20 point plus lead when he put the play on the wire. When he is forced to put his play out before the game starts all clients are expected to buy as many points as possible.
