Thanks Robert for letting me sleep in for the the earlier games, woke up, checked the card, saw the plays don't tip off till later and knocked back out !! Now im up, fresh and ready !! I just find the whole jinx thing so funny cause it obviously doesn't exist just another way for us gamblers to blame anyone but ourselves, I love it. Since this is the most active thread that I follow I will ask it on here-
Can someone explain to me how Doc says that he was +10 units for February but $100 betters lost $390? That doesn't make since to me so I figured I'm missing something.
Is he not including the vig? Seems to me an L would be -1.1 units, or at least that's how I figure it. Seems deceiving.

That's the way they do it over there, they don't include the juice.. So on a 5 unit play instead of losing 5.5 units they only count it as 5. This makes a huge difference with a guy like Ferringo who bets a lot of games. Even worse is baseball, you would see a few years ago Ferringo would be advertising that he was +300 units in baseball but your profit was only 75 units.

It's just a way to spin their record to make it look good.

Yeah, that 11th hour stuff in nuts. You have to have a lot of faith in a computer for that. To me a capper should utilize that but then also use your gut and human logic. to make the best picks possible.

I will say that when IC's and Ferringo say they are up X amount for this time period it does match what I have. It's just that the units don't match in Doc's case. For a $100 better when my spreadsheet says I'm up 10 units I'm up $1000. The only thing that I know that could throw it off is if your not including vig on the losses which doesn't seem right from a respected tout. I mean what the hell is the point of saying your up 10 units when right next to it you say your down $390? To the uninformed public that just stumbles upon there site the dollar signs are going to sell anyways, not the units.

They usually include the net unless they're on a slide thats when they go into spin mode. For example in ferringo baseball he's saying $6,000 in profit for the 2nd half of baseball last year, there's no mention of the 1st half which was a disaster.

Well from the short time I have been tracking the (I do subscribe to a couple of them) whenever they quote a $ amount it has always been really close to what I have while using 10% juice so I can (so far) trust them on it but the unit thing baffles me. There is no advantage to doing it that way. Anyone that is advanced to the point of understanding units can clearly see the difference when you put the $ amount right next to the units and any Joe Blow that comes across is just going to see $ signs. That's why I thought I was missing something, weird.
