If you come home from vacation and there's a squatter in your house, you just call the Sheriff and he will removed them. In NY, the homeowner will be arrested if they try and remove the squatter from THEIR property.

One would hope that an adult would understand the processes , who values what, and why it is what it is.
This is obviously posted to appeal to someone that has no idea of how these are numbers are derived and who sets them.
It is sad that people do not actually understand a process that represents their largest purchase in many peoples lifetime.
I suppose it is why they had to make a law saying a real estate agent deal does not have to be 6%. It NEVER DID have to be that. People were to busy assuming to take the time to understand.

Maybe you have and maybe you haven't, but that doesn't mean your take is correct. There are many examples in life where adults disagree on things. This example is one where many disagree with you. Many highly intelligent successful people. For instance, you might very well disagree with me (and others) that this NY judge are AG are not corrupt and this judgment against Trump is perfectly legitimate and completely void of any political bias whatsoever, but that doesn't mean its true. Heck, its possible and even likely, that some people (perhaps you as well) might not believe their own rhetoric about the ruling but are pretending to, simply because their dislike for Trump.
Look around at other examples of "adults" when it comes to understanding. The list is long and so is the intellectual dishonesty that comes with it. From specific subjects such as affirmative action NOT being racist, to men can get pregnant, to the was an insurrection on J6, to Trump called Nazi's in Charlottesville "very fine people", to Russian collusion, and so many more lies which are still repeated today. Heck, just last weekend Biden repeated the lie that Trump told people to drink bleach. All proven lies and yet "adults" choose to repeat them. Some adults.

Simple singular facts get muddied into politics and in these threads for the betterment of whichever side someone is on.
Trump this, Biden that, blah, blah, blah, .. it's all bullshit.
I am talking about MONEY . Period.
Not Trump, not judgements, just money and the victimless crime crap and what O'Leary said..
Here is what bothers me:
A. The simple fact as to the property's taxable value for property taxes that is set by the state.
B. The amount any homeowner can ask when selling their property is made by the seller.
C. The amount or valuation that is posted by a person or company wanting to borrow a percentage against that stated price valuation. That person cannot just toss a number there for their convenience. There are laws against this for everyone.
The victimless crime stuff is crap. Who is the victim? Other borrowers that don't have the leverage or sway to push down the interest price on that loan payment which has them paying more than the super rich that have lesser interest rates. At the end of the day for any loan institution, it is not about a % on any one loan, it is the overall % they collect on all the loaned money throughout. It is an average of all.
The victims therefore are the people that pay more for the same money than someone else when the risks are weighed as the same.
THAT, is not fair Dwight, which is why they have in place the laws that they do. Nothing to do with politics, everything to do with fairness.
But it gets all spun around and now the guy with the lower pay back % rate is the victim? How gullible can we as humans be?
None of these are political. Yet, here we are with people mixing in politics with whatever helps fit their narrative.
It's the way politics and the spinning is played that drives me crazy. It is so misleading, which to anyone that doesn't understand a certain subject ends up believing or maybe, falling for.
None of this has anything to do with politics within it's standalone core.
But with delays, opinions, blah, blah, blah, it's all about hating Trump or loving Trump.
And this is simply done to spin a narrative.
O'Leary and whoever is only joining in because it helps THEIR bottom line on loans down the road. And yet, people think it's Trump or politics. Wow.Comment -

I haven't the time or inclination to check all the facts but I can assure you that there is no such requirement to provide photo ID to register or vote in Australia. And I suspect that it is also the case in numerous if not most other countries he/she has listed with a tick.
