Usually responses to the second shot are much more mild than the first. I got the moderns shot and I had a mile response to th first shot and no response to th second shot.

Id get the second shot solely to be considered "fully" vaccinated. Lifes a bit harder right now if you're not fully vaxxd. If you don't care at all about that aspect, call your doc. Your doc will tell you they recommend you to get it. At that point, its your decision. No one really cares tho. Not us, not the restaurants mandating vaxxs, not your doc, only you. Your call

2 weeks is a long time, a bit of an outlier.

From the clinical trials to the rollout of the vaccine, overwhelmingly, the SECOND shot is known to cause far more symptoms than the first.

This is because the 1st shot introduces the spike protein that your body then sees as an antigen, begins teaching the system to defend, causing that inflammation response at the injection site and usually a mild, if any, reaction in the body.

But the second shot will now recognize the harmless spike protein (I add that it's harmless because many think, incorrectly, that is HIV, or even COVID itself, or even cancer causing, but it is not), from the first shot, and the body will now launch a stronger, and faster immune response.

And that builds antibodies.

Everyone is different but the 2nd shot will cause more symptoms, if any at all, in the vast majority of people.

You were sick for two weeks after the first shot, that is a long time, almost dr worthy, but there is a reason.

You had already had COVID and evidence shows that those who get vaccinated after already having COVID can get a lot of symptoms after the 1st shot, at the same time you are also getting more antibodies.

Similar to what I wrote above, your body has already seen the protein and is ready to go right away with that stronger, faster immune response.

That's why you were sick but even though you likely are now loaded with antibodies, Doctors will tell you to get the second shot.

I am curious to see if the second vaccine shot causes any symptoms. If you get the second shot, I'd like to hear about it. If you post it in this thread though, I'll likely miss it. I rarely read this thread. It's loaded with far more misinformation by pro and anti "vaxx" posters than I care to debunk, one could do it all day...lol.

Fined a restaurant and it's owner and pulled their liquor license because he wouldn't ask patrons for their medical papers.

Dayam, that's getting a bit out of hand. Here in California, any policy like that simply won't get enforced in a lot of counties. Local offcials simply won't do that to their people.

The sheriff in our county, as well those in nearby counties, have come out multiple times with different policies saying he outright won't enforce them.

Hopefully all this nonsense ends soon with a pandemic just becoming endemic.

It's almost as if some of you are making the employer of the hospitals out to be the bad guy.

Weird. It's the employee who doesn't want to follow the employer's rule. The employer has a well established right here.

It's far less getting fired and more death by suicide, these employees know they are quitting their jobs with the decisions they are making. Some of them are probably just sticking around to get fired so they can get into some meritless lawsuit in hopes of getting money.

These aren't even really unusual requests of an employer. There are plenty of jab these workers are required to get before being able to work in a hospital setting. Employers, especially when it comes to healthcare, have rights and in this domain those rights are well established.

The Kung Flu is even serving to harden those established rights, as with court decisions in Texas.
