Listen, I defend the Jewish people I defend Israel not because like rifle he thinks it is the right thing to do because of his fundamentalist christian teachings and then will turn his back on those same Jews when he believes it is time for the "end times." No I defend the Jews because they have proven since the beginning of recorded history that they have a special something. They persevere, they continue to thrive. With a world population of probably less than 2% they continuously provide the world with some of the greatest minds in every field. That includes science, math and medicine and all the rest of the STEM subjects. They are a people to be admired add to that the fact that they are only real democracy in that section of the world. So yes I defend the jewish people and Israel.
However, Philly makes valid points some in Israel are taking unfair advantage of a superior condition that they now enjoy. They do bulldoze homes with no real excuse or reason, I am not sure about the torture or murder but I wouldn't doubt that as happening too. There is no real excuse for it and when the tough hard line conservatives are in power I am afraid those conditions will remain. It is a difficult problem and a problem people have been trying to overcome for decades. Hey let us not forget that the formation of Israel was also based on some terrorism. If you think not, look up the King David Hotel. I have no answers, neither do you or the rest of the world.
Edit: Sorry I was wrong the Jewish population in the world is estimated at less than 1%. My god they are like an endangered species and I am not saying this cavalierly either. If you don't admire the Jewish people IMO you don't have a real grasp of world history. They have been the scape goats for centuries because christianity taught for those same centuries that they were Christ killers. That is an over simplification and even many christians of today apologize for that inaccuracy. It is so easy to demonize the minority, it is so easy to be critical of a position that is not popular.
We as a people right now have very hard feelings for Muslims, I think that is wrong. I think we are tossing all of them into the same bag. I agree the animals need to be killed that is not an issue. I know some very nice people that practice Islam. Do they have strange beliefs yes many do. Every religious book has strange beliefs. Do you actually think the ten commandments came from the fairy tale taught by christianity. Of course not. Do muslims actually believe Gabriel came down to talk and gave his ideas about Islam. Of course not, it is crazy. But, the majority of muslims live simply and peacefully and this is in countries that violate their rights constantly.Comment -
