I skew pretty heavy towards libertarian. I tend to be very financially conservative while being incredibly liberal on social issues (not due to a bleeding heart but merely due to the fact that govt penetrates up everything it touches, BOTH sides of the aisle do, and shouldn't be involved in anything but the simplest of things).

I thought Bush Jr was a bad president. I thought Obama was a bad president. I thought Trump was a bad president. I think Biden is a bad president. Honestly I'd love to smash Pelosi's face with a 2x4 as much as I would love to smash Ted Cruz in the face with a 2x4.

They're all terrible. I've not been alive long enough to see any form of Republican majority _actually_ curtail spending. I've also not seen any Democrat majority _actually_ pass legislature that actively helps the constituents it's intended to help on the surface.

Both sides of the aisle in this political theater are great at giving the illusion they're doing something meaningful, in reality they're only lining their own pockets. The sooner everyone realizes the federal govt as an entity has failed everyone and it's not _either_ parties fault but specifically _both_ parties fault the better we'll all be.

Despite being a fiscally conservative libertarian, I actually don't mind paying taxes. Specifically what I do mind is paying taxes and having it wasted. I hate paying taxes every year because I know the money I give them to do good for the country will only do good for about 25 cents on the dollar. It's so incredibly inefficient. I don't even give a shit if they raise my tax rate (ok, maybe I'd mind a little) provided 100% of said tax money went to help those it's intended to help. At this point it's so much better for the people of this nation if I just handed cash to the people who needed it instead of going through the federal govt middle man who takes 75% of it just to waste it.
