There's a documentary freakonomics did on naming conventions where they analyzed names people have and found a black guy who named one of his sons "Winner" and his other son he named "Loser".

His son named "Winner" engaged in a life of a crime and wound up being a career criminal who was always in prison. His son named "Loser" went to college, got a degree and had a successful career.

What is there to complain about?

I think western storytelling sells people on the idea that its ok for them to make bad decisions, do stupid shit and have everything "work out" in the end. People feel entitled to have a "happy ending".

They get mad because Daenerys story shows people are not entitled to have anything. If they make bad decisions it can and often will come back to haunt them, the way the decisions made by characters in game of thrones did. I think that's what people object to the most.

People are also probably seeing things they dislike most about themselves reflected in Daenerys behavior. That's another aspect to it.

The penetrating show was great in many categories, BUT, the writing was SHIT, character development was DESTROYED, and the story was rushed because Dumb and Dumber (showrunners) were fed up with the schedule and want it to rush it to work on Star Wars. That much is obvious. They also suck at writing so there's that.


Production: B+ (was +A before the Coffee cup on Episode 4 and hear Euron yell "Fire!" when instructing his men to fire the ballistas... how do you fire a fukkin arrouw man? LOOSE!!!!)

I thought I might be a little on the autistic side.

Even I realize Jon Snow is sending Ghost away to a place of safety cuz he's depressed, anxious and is afraid relations between him and Daenerys are going to deteriorate and go straight to hell and he doesn't want Ghost to get mixed up in it. Then Jon Snow tells Samwell Tarly he hopes they have a girl who won't be named after him. Why? This is foreshadowing. Jon Snow has a bad feeling about how circumstances are unfolding.

There are a lot of things people are not picking up on.

Another thing people might not have noticed is both Brienne and Gendry were virgins. The scene where Arya is lying there not looking at Gendry, that's supposed to convey Arya thinking: "I think this guy lied to me about having done this before". Et al.

Bro...earlier in that episode she threatened Jon about keeping the secret. A few scenes later he tells the secret! Obviously, things weren't going to work out. No need for anymore foreshadowing there.

Nailed it. Except the visual effects/cgi part. They went cheap on the budget and blackened episode 3 bc of it. The biggest battle scene of the series and they went cheap... then tried to lie about it as a cover-up.

Also, conveniently got rid of 2 dragons and all the direwolves to skimp even more on cgi budgeting

Go back to episode 4 and watch messendei's execution. The gates to KL open up, qyburn walks out a quarter mile to meet Tyrion, gates close.

Gates stay closed the entire time, qyburn stays outside the gates near Dany and the unsullied. Yet when messendei gets her head lopped off, qyburn is magically safe and back inside KL? That's just horrible writing, B-list horror movie writing from the 50s

Problem solving with Daenerys Targeryen

Problem: Asshole brother. Problem solving: asshole brother is burned with molten gold.
Problem: Khal Drogo died. Problem solving: burn witch and dragon egg's with fire.
Problem: Dothraki Khals wont accept Daenerys as queen. Problem solving: burn all of the khals with fire.
Problem: Sorcerers capture Daenerys and her dragons. Problem solving: her dragons burn them.
Problem: Daenerys needs to free slaves. Problem solving: her dragons burn the fk out of them until they surrender.
Problem: Some in west eros wont bend the knee to Daenerys. Problem solving: dracarys, dragons burn them.
