Trying to convince a Trump supporter that Trump is a liar is like trying to convince Trump himself that he's a liar. Trump lies in plain sight all the time and his supporters don't care. Here's just 3 recent examples:
"My father was born in a wonderful place in Germany." Who lies about where their father was born?
"I said Tim Apple as a way to save time." Adding an extra syllable saves time?
"Puerto Rico got 91 Billion dollars for the hurricane." Really? Where did it go?
Trump's a pathological liar that is almost completely incapable of telling the truth. His supporters don't care. In their minds... Trump only lies about the small stuff. But all the stuff that is more difficult to verify(at least for them) they think he tells the truth about that stuff. They take Trump's word for the stuff that they have zero knowledge of... and for most Trump supporters... they have zero knowledge of just about everything he says. So they just believe him.

I didn't check anything. I honestly don't know. I didn't vote for Obama either time. I lived in Atlanta for most of Obama's presidency. I remember a black coworker accusing me of being racist because I wasn't an Obama supporter. Somehow, Trump supporters are tricked into believing that he's great because they thought Obama sucked and because Trump doesn't like Obama he must naturally be great. This is nonsense. It's no different in sports. Just because 1 team is absolutely terrible it doesn't automatically make the other team great. There can be 1 good team and 1 bad team or 2 bad teams or 2 good teams. I honestly don't care if these illegals are separated from their babies and kids after illegally trying to sneak in to our Country.. I wish there were more harsh penalties and laws on the book then just separating the kids from adults if you ask me...
