If it's truly a right then children and criminals and terrorists and everyone should be able to own guns, no restrictions. Obviously that's not the case. There are restrictions, just like there is for driving, for which the right to travel IS a fundamental right. All sane people accept that both gun ownership and driving should be subject to appropriate rules and restrictions. So ultimately, it comes down to the extent and level of those rules and restrictions. But your pretending that rules and restrictions cannot or do not apply to gun ownership is fantasy.
