First Count of electoral Votes for 2012.
For those of you who do not remember, or do not know, it is electoral votes that elect a President, not the popular vote. Here is a list of States that we have written off to the Cemocratic nominee (Obama) and the Republican nominee (TBD). Now obviously a lot of things can happen to change all of this, but assuming that Obama does not go toally crazy and worsens the economy, and the GOP does NOT nominate some radical on either side of the specrum, here is how it stands as of today:

Democratic "Safe" States. CA, NM, ILL, NY, RI, CT, MA, HI. Those states total up to 141 electoral votes.

Republican "Safe" States. TX, AZ, UT, ID, MT, WY, ND, SED, NB, KA, OK, LA, AR, MO, MS, AL, GA, SC, TN, KY, WV, AK. Those states total up to 180 Electoral votes.

All other states are up for grabs, though if the GOP nominates Marco Rubio for VP, they will more than likely lock up Florida, and their 29 electoral votes.

It should be interesting. Right now, Obama is a lock to be renominated. Rubio is way ahead in the GOP VP race. Everything else, including Obama's running mate, is still up in the air.

I still believe that a Rick Perry nomination puts Texas in play for blue.

This gem gets my vote for the most IDIOTIC post in internet history.

Not surprisingly, it came from a liberal democrat.

Agharah, did that pea-sized brain of yours have a meltdown? If so, I'm sure its not the first time.

If not, please explain how a Rick Perry (Texas governor) nomination puts Texas (a solid red state) in play for blue (Democrats)?

If Obama is re-nominated by the democrats, does that put the republican party candidate in play among the negro community, LOL?

Texas hasn't been in play for a Dem since 1976.

I'd tell you that polling data suggests Perry isn't as popular in Texas as you think he is, but that would imply you're capable of thinking, and that's not an assertion I'm comfortable making.

Don't call me a liberal Democrat. In fact, don't call me anything at all. Don't purport to think you know me, child's play.

If you are like many Republicans in that you think Obama didn't have enough experience for this office why would you think Rubio would be better. They have very similar resumes.

Who cares, the ONLY (R) candidate that believes in science also wants to do away with 'capital gains' taxes, yet he wants a tax hike on everyone else (Huntsman).
Essentially, EVERYONE that is NOT an exec at a top corporation pays more taxes.
That makes sense to a common shnook, or am I wrong? I know I'm not, most of you douches on here have a 1st grade education on economics, at best - that's why this site lives. Douches that lose. That's why there is an SBR and I thank you for having your impressive skillz.
