You guys obviously haven't been following this team enough. This has been a problem for at least five years - penalties. Offensive line specifically. This team commits terrible penalties routinely that keep the other team on the field, etc. I will have to say the majority of the holding calls today were pretty questionable. Defense is playing well. Much better discipline tackling -- of course it is 110% improvement simply by not having Asante Samuel out there. Raiders always got the rap as the most penalized team, but this squad was right up there with them.

It's Week 1. Who knows if improvements come. This team just seems to always have some distraction. This year it was Reid's son dying and then the stupid shit Lurie pulled in his state of the Eagles address by putting Reid on blast as far as "We'll evaluate the coaching position at the end of the year." They are fortunate to be able to dominate a weak offense today.

As usual, running the ball - like right now with a lead to pound the D and alleviate the problems with Vick - still seem a foreign concept.

Two of the picks were tipped. May not have been the best throws, but those will happen. Stupid play calling as usual. You've got a QB struggling and a line that isn't protecting him well. So why not pass 67% of the time.

O-line is not cohesive yet, but Vick is also making it difficult. He holds the ball too long at times and doesn't have any confidence, so I think he is getting happy feet already which never helps your line with their protection schemes.
