I respected Clinton because he put country first. I want a strong US economy. I don't worship anyone and certainly not as you do Obama.Comment -

#73Truth is, there is a possible perfect storm brewing in Romneys favor.
#1 - Obamacare gets flipped later this month in court
#2 - Europe goes into total free fall
#3 - China's slowdown gets worse
#4 #1+#2+3 = US economy starts going back into 2008 mode.
All the ads about Mitt being a flip flop or whatever won't mean anything then.
People like someone to tell them why things are wrong, and one person to blame.
I don't see how anything Romney has done in his past, or the people he'll surround himself with (similar G-Sachs folks) will change anything for how this all unwinds for the majority of the citizens - but people demand quick fixes, whether they get delivered or not.Comment -

#74Obama hasn't gone to the center? He has gone farther than Reagan has for christ sakes. As for Clinton? Not one Republican voted for his budgets so to think they had something to do with the country booming back then is utter bullshit. Again those tax breaks for the rich are killing us. We can't make up the lost revenue. What jackass starts a war and then cuts taxes? Nobody does this but somehow Bush thought it would work. It has destroyed us and continues to because politicians are so fukin scared to do something about it cause they have nice cushy jobs and they know most people are jackasses and will vote them out because they will get blitzed by negative attack ads.Comment -

You gloss over the Bush/Iraq vendetta thing. If you believe that, with the cost of lives (and cost to the taxpayer), you'd have to support sending Bush/Cheney et all to trial for that fiasco.Comment -

#77Other than doing the Obama tax cut at the end of 2010, how has he gone to the center? We'll agree on Bush. Iraq was a personal vendetta against them for trying to kill his dad. Again though, just because you take more money from the rich, it doesn't mean the government is going to spend it on where it needs to go. At the same time, even though we have pulled out in Iraq, you can gig Obama for raising troop levels in Afghanistan, while continuing the tax cuts.Comment -

Ya and I am the stupid one. You come out calling names and acting like you know what you are talking about, calling people stupid when you are the one that hasn't a clue. When called out on it, you again resort to name calling rather than admit your mistake. Sorry if you can't see how ridiculous that makes you appear. I suspect you get that a lot huh?
I hope you can at least be a man of your word and keep me on ignore. Nothing would make me happier. I prefer discussions with adults.Comment -

#81As far as not raising taxes, its because Congress has stopped him dead in his tracks to keep from doing it during a recession (unless, of course, if you include the racist sun tanning tax). If I hear "fair share" one more time from him, or anyone that pays no share, I'm going to get sick.Comment -

#86Do they? Look......get over yourself, fukkhead.
All you've done the past few days is paste your liberal-ass views all over the forum, while insulting anyone whose opinion differs from yours. Its obvious to everyone you fancy yourself as the smartest guy here, but let's snap back into reality for a second, can we?
Its a fukkin internet gambling forum, ace. The simple truth is.....you're a faceless, nameless nobody. Do you truly think anyone here gives a fukk about what we say?
So please be aware that the only thing gained from your incessant, self-aggrandizing posts is a boost to your "cyber self-esteem". But please, carry on if this works for you.
Glad to see you're living the life out there in Vegas, pal.Comment -

It's not a question of ideology at this point. Both sides need to make concessions and the more both of them sit in stalemate, the more it costs all of us.Comment -

If the boat has a hole and your out on the water with a bucket, how long can you simply keep pouring out the water before it sinks? You need to fix the hole rather than get more buckets. Until you repair the hole, nothing will change. It will only get worse. It's just a matter of time.Comment -

#98I think raising taxes on anyone is the wrong medicine. The US already has the highest business rate tax in the 1st world. If we were under taxed I could see that argument. The US needs to make across the board cuts including military before any talk of tax increases. If Romney wins its possible the republicans could pull off some very deep cuts with no new taxes. They will likely win the senate to go along with the house. Add the executive branch and things could change drastically.Comment -

#100Surely you can see how conservatives are against raising taxes on ANY group of people while the government has a severe spending problem. Until they commit to balanced budgets and stop the wasteful ridiculous spending all of us read and hear about, asking more more money for them to waste make me wanna shake my head. You guys pay plenty of tax already. If anything you need to lower taxes even more. More importantly, you need more jobs and thus more tax payers.

The spending comes from those programs and an aging populace. Lower taxes is not going to solve that.Comment -

Step 1 - make election funding a "free speech" issue.
Step 2 - make them as expensive as humanly possible
Step 3 - Use existing contacts to peddle influence in the form of donations
Step 4 - take a big cut - cha chingComment -
