    Going Pro Question
Ready to go pro, I click the go pro hyper link, I wanted to fund another book, it gives me no option for that.
I have funds in all 3 fantasy sites, I don't want to purchase anything from Amazon, I don't need a line service, I want to go pro by funding a book, however there is no option for that.

    Is there?

If you're a US resident, you cannot go Pro via the sportsbook method any longer but new options have been added for Americans.

Don't mean to hijack the thread or take it in a new direction but it's sort of related. In terms of renewing pro membership how does that work? I'm thinking of going Pro and have a pinny account so I'd have to sign up elsewhere for the first time. But I don't have to sign up with a new bookie each time I want to renew right?! (Don't want 20 accounts)

As long as the sportsbook you first went Pro with is still an SBR Pro sponsor at the time you're up for renewal, you'll just need to have $200 in that account in order to renew.

Can I add funds (200 dollars plus) to an existing fantasy sponsored site?

If not, I guess I am not going pro.

sbr has removed themselves completely from any usa involvement in sportsbetting.

doesnt make sense for the current(considering they are under no foreseeable threat of seizure or anything of the sort).. but for the long term future, if they are the party poker (who pulled out of usa years ago) before the usa legalizes gambling online.. then they will be allowed re-entry later when they follow the rules. (doesnt work quite the same way since u cant "gamble for cash here" but they dont want to allow or encourage it either.

beyond that they have a cash cow here.... why not continue to keep the cash cow guaranteed for years to come, instead of waiting the inevitable government takeover of sbrforum... smart move for the longterm like i said.. even if they did have 2-3 yrs before gov popped them (if ever).

I beg to differ, SBR is a website that caters to US and world wide sportsbetting.

other than advising on safe or not safe sportsbooks.. what cash involvement or transactions are they encouraging with usa residents? I believe taking cash out of store and freeplays, and then now disallowing to become pro through books, as well as changing most contests and poker to PTS value instead of CASH in a sportsbook.. they have cleared MOST of their bases... if they havent, the changes will come down soon... I can assure u

not sure why u say this.. one of the options is amazon.. u spend 200$ there (on ur own products/gift cards/etc) and u get to become an sbr pro.

then u get double the pts/ can buy anything in the store/ and arent wasting the 3k pts u have on u now (which mind u equates to 2-300$ in pizzas and 150$ in amazon cards or other value.)

with this being said u also get free poker daily including the CASH poker coming up in a few weeks.. SBR is said to be paying out over 10-20k in CASH., contests for pros only sometimes, trivia, etc etc etc

gl in ur decision.. but to me its still a no brainier.. pro is basically free.

honestly I dont see how u could complain bout free cash in a poker tournament

I am going by what Lou said back a few months ago...

seems like a great deal if and when it happens

no u cannot become pro or renew through sportsbook deposit if u are IN THE USA. u have other options and u can see them by clicking Become A Pro!

an example is that u can spend 200$ on amazon.com through sbr links or whatever and u will be a pro as well

Well I suppose when there is a need for me to get something from Amazon I guess I will fill out the pro form, however I wanted to put 500 in Legends this morning for bases as an 'out', I was shocked to find SBR pulled the book options. I have funds in DS, FD, and DJ from last season, I can't use that option, I have no need for a line service...............

I guess I can use the Amazon option to go pro, but I have a Barnes and Noble account (and WB Mason) for my little home business I have going on, I just don't see myself using Amazon anytime soon for a big ticket item (or even a mid sized ticket item)

                                  Oh well
