Favre proved even more what a great player he was by helping bring along (teaching a high level pro game to) Rodgers and Jennings while in GB. He is a Hall of Famer all the way !!!!!

LOL. Now he gets credit for the fact that they sucked the last decade he was there but then go to the superbowl without him. Farve was all about himself he didnt teach anyone shit.

Probably the same reason the Jets didnt even make the playoffs with him, then go to 2 staright AFC Championship games without him. He taught them all they know.

and the bad INT vs the Giants in OT in the frigid temps....

thats how his career was 2 bad plays for every 1 good one.. and the one good one shouldve ended badly
how can you forget last year's interception against the saints..........that has to be up there with one of his worst and we all know he's had some really badddd interceptions.

He needs to retire now then maybe Vikings win the SuperBowl next year.

teams seem to do pretty good once they get rid of him

The final season prooves nothing more than that he was just another one time super star jock who could not walk away until 90% of his skills had eroded. Tarnished his legacy a bit, but did nothing more than so many other recognized superstars.

When Willie Mays hit .211 in his final season with the Mets, it did prove nothing except the same dynamic.

I owned a thoroughbred that won 9 races and well over $100K in 32 starts including a Maiden Special Weight her first time out as a 2 yr old, and later 5 allowance races. She was the best one I ever owned being just a step or two slower than a winning stakes horse. Her last year she didn't hit the board in her final 7 efforts, but I, like a true ahole, just had to keep running her out there with some not so minor nagging injuries until she finally finished last in a 5K Claimer at a minor track. Her last race was the lowest level she ever ran at. Luckily she survived my stupidity and is now a better than average broodmare.

She was never a superstar, but again it was the same dynamic. That last year takes nothing away from what she accomplished before that....which was winning better than one of every three starts.

LOL. Way to butcher the English Language there big guy.

Dude his time was up years ago and the Packers sure didnt come to him with 20m, he went back to them thinking he was Jordan " Im Back" and it would be Christmas in August in GB. The Packers didnt want him, because they already had a new QB ( The guy that has them in the SB ), so his Ego got hurt and he wanted to "teach them a lesson " ( his words ). Yet they are in the SB and he isnt.

Now as for the Vikings coming to get him this last off season with 20m. Well they were just wrong and I think this season proved it.

Anyways a lot of you guys defend Farve but none of you talk about what he did. I know he seemed like a good guy, but I am talking about what he actually did on the field, especially in big games, and thats not much. The facts are the facts. Sorry if you dont like them.

Your argument in invalid. The number of Superbowls does not determine the worth of a QB. Farve was an amazing QB. I've never rooted for the guy during the game, but could always count on him to make the game exciting.....with the packers. He should have retired when he left that organization.

His career lasted 10 or 20 years longer than most of his peers. You're disapproval of Favre does not mean he will not be in the Hall Of Fame.

not really saying he sucks just because he only won 1 SB. There were other reasons like the way he seemed to blow every big game trying to be the hero.
