I actually did meet my wife at another casino. Back in 2003 I was working at Soboba and she came in as a player. I was drawn to her immediately and was flirting with her. I was 25 and was pretty confident in myself. I was 6'0 170 skinny but a good looking dude. She was smoking hot. The rest is history and since we have been married I have gained a good 50 lbs. She says it doesn't matter but I don't know how. She wants to stay with me though because I have been trying to end this marriage for a couple years because of how bad I feel about the gambling. She begs me to stay, I don't get it. Must have some kind of good qualities. She is a great chick. I love her. U have to go to dealing school to become a dealer but that's cake. It might take u a while to get in a good casino but its fun and well worth it. Also it takes a while to learn how to make money like I do. Being the biggest casino in Ca I would say I am in the top 5% of the male dealers in making money there. Its not just dealing cards. It is a sales job. You have to hustle and make your money, but in a way that you can't get in trouble. I am good at it, I have to admit.

Thanks man. I know your right, its just easier to know it then to actually take the steps to do it. I enjoy betting on sports then anything I can think of. I am not joking. Everyday that I get to look at what games I am going to bet is such a rush. Then I sweat out every game. EVERY game I am yelling and stressing at the TV. Sick that just me typing this right now makes me sad that I am tapped and can't bet tomorrow. Luckily I don't like NCAA as much and I am not missing much just not betting the all star game.

I have never taken oxy's. I won't. Those are really expensive, alot more that $30-$60 a day. I have heard so many stories about people that taking oxy's move to heroin from oxy's because after having to take so many oxy's because of their tolerance they have to because it is just cheaper. I don't ever want to be taking heroin ya know?

To be honest, you have to get to the point where you want to change. Are you there yet? IF you are in fact to the point where you want to change you need to absolutely do the best thing you can do and close down your offshore accounts. If you are gambling at a casino besides the one you work at ask them for a voluntary ban. Sure these things can be undone but if you want to change these are the first drastic steps. Some other things to do..

Throw money in CD's or IRA's or something where it is not easy to take the money out. If all else fails then clearly you are not ready to quit and have not hit rock bottom.

I have lowered my limit. Thing is if I lower it anymore I just don't have the rush and enjoyment in the bets anymore. I only bet like 30-100 a game now. Doesn't seem like much but I can't see my self betting 5-10 a game and really getting into it. Even when I bet what I do I usually do parlays so I can win more. ML parlays usually. I know parlays are bad. But its one way to have more action, more teams, and not having to bet as much but still can have a nice score. Missed out on a 5 team parlay with Love winning the 3 point shootout because of good Ca St. Fullerton against the ******* worse team in the ncaa Cal Davis. YESSSS. That's what had me start this thread actually.

I appriciate your advice and I agree with it. The thing is, I don't think I am ready to do it. Even know 100% I should do it. I just don't see myself sticking to it. I don't see me going another 2 weeks without reloading my 5dimes account. 2 weeks would actually be a step in the right direction. I wish I had the feelings inside to say enough is enough. What is sad is that I love my wife but almost willing to let my marriage go so I can just do what I want and not have to worry about bringing anyone else down. That is just such a sick statement.

Yes it is. I am glad there is no NBA tomorrow because past experience says that if there was I would take a chance I could make some money and do a P2P transfer on Monday to pay this shit off. I need to make money tonight at work, bottom line.

Okay I am going to go to sleep now and get a little nap so I can be ready for work and ready to get my hustle on. I hope I dump. I pray this guy comes in tonight that is the biggest and best player in the 11 yrs of my dealing. He comes in every now and then and he is soooooo good. Like I said I made $7200 off him a few weeks ago. Though that won't happen again, but it could, girl behind me that day made $8000 and one of my friends another night made $6000 from him. I have made a little over $1000 off him 2 other times I have dealt to him too. I just need to dump to him and it is guarantee good money. I will update this tomorrow good or bad on what I did tonight.

Definitely take care of that pill addiction. It will be much easier for you to stop/control your gambling (and lose weight for that matter) if you aren't buzzed all day. I overcame some pretty hardcore addictions by quitting cold turkey, dealing with withdrawal, and then not hanging around the people I used to get high with and buy from. That method is at least worth giving a shot, and if that doesn't work you could try rehab or NA or something. Getting your wife to quit at the same time will probably make it much easier for you. I don't want to come off like some sort of rehab guru, just telling you what worked for me. Best of luck...

I would never take any advice given from someone in a bad way, and you are right. My wife did go to rehab for this problem for three months and it worked. Well until she broke her foot and needed the pain pills. Since then she has been back on it. She wants to quit to, worse then me. She is probably going to go back to a rehab for a few weeks just to be safe about it. If it was only me taking the pills I don't give a shit. I just don't like spending the money and with both of us doing it that's why we spend the money. Problem is if she quits and I don't it would be wrong and harder for her recovery so I am going to quit as well. I would say before June I should give it a shot. The pills actually help me make money at work because they keep me talking and in a good mood usually.

Look into seeing a counsellor. They'll listen to you and try to help find strategies for the pills/gambling. It'll open up your mind and give you some different ways to look at your life.

Its a great job. I love it. Been dealing 11 years. If I wasn't married then I would give a shit about this gambling episode honestly. It's the fact that I am bringing my wife/family <step daughrter> down with me. My job is great and yet I have nothing to show for it. I have made over 75K each of the 4 full years I have been at Pechanga and with the $7200 score I had the week after the superbowl and I almost am a shoe in to beat the 75k this year as well. I have ZERO to show for it though. I have a bad pill addiction on top of the gambling problem. The pill problem is actually more expensive then the gambling problem. What a winner I am.

Thanks man. I know I have the same problem as a lot of other people. I am very lucky to have a good job that I also love. I love what I do, and I do love my wife and step daughter. I just wish sometimes that my problem wasn't theirs too. I wish I didn't love the rush of betting on games. I actually quit betting for like 2 years completely but as soon as I started doing it again, behind the wives back, I got way into it again.
