Girl scouts are a non profit organization but they sell cookies to raise money for their trips and stuff.
I swear to God some people on this site are such pessimist.

Trips, programs, supplies, badges, sashes, books etc.

Cookies are more than just a way to raise money though. The teach the girls business skills, counting money and counting back change, financial literacy, people skills, and helps to build their confidence and their courage. It isn't easy going door to door to sell cookies especially knowing there are some very rude people out there.
