#142No. If that was the case then we would not be talking about a random outcome.Originally posted by warriorfan7074LC... Here is a question for you.
Doesnt it seem reasonable to believe that your odds of winning 10 hands in a row would be better if you were to log in and out of the server and re-enter at totally random times than if you were to just stay remained logged into the server and play 10 straight hands.
There are times when Mathematics and real life logic and common sense are 2 different things and I think this is one of them.
That line of thinking is the same as "there have been ten heads in a row, so tails is due". The fact that it is over 1000/1 to have 10 heads in a row does not mean that it is not even money to be heads on spin number 11.Comment -

#143Just give it up. Your answer is no. I challenge anybody to prove me wrong. They can't.Originally posted by warriorfan707
What part of "several people are disagreeing with you" are you not understanding man?
DIdnt you read this thread? 4LC for example has stated that you log in at a different time, you will get different cards...
To be honest Im not sure because I dont fully understand how the RNG works and Im not going to claim I doComment -

#144yea... a real discussion about random number generators. that you know little about?
as a computer programmer by vocation. i think i have an infinitesimal better grasp on your question AND its answer. than you ever could.
Do you understand how video poker machines work? They are CONTINUOUSLY creating cards. the second you select 'deal'. you fetch the values there were generated the millisecond you selected the button. if instead of clicking 'deal' you grab a beer and talk to your buddy and flirt with the cocktail waitress.. the number/cards are still being generated.
how else can someone explain 'random' for you? I can search the sesame street archives. see if big bird talked about random number generators. then maybe someone can explain it for you, in language you can understand.Comment -

#146That would be possible only if you had proved that the first hand dealt after logging in tended win more than lose.Originally posted by warriorfan707Doesnt it seem reasonable to believe that your odds of winning 10 hands in a row would be better if you were to log in and out of the server and re-enter at totally random times than if you were to just stay remained logged into the server and play 10 straight hands.
With these RNG's, the outcomes will vary randomly.
Even if you take a very large sample of hands and they show a lean towards the 1st hand being a winner, a larger sample will eventually lean the other way. It will do this randomly over many samples of various sizes.Comment -

#147lmao thread of the year
Odds of playing 1000 hands in a row and winning those 1000 hands are exactly the same as logging in 1000 times over the course of the year, playing one hand each time, and winning each of those hands. They are the same and to think otherwise means you don't understand basic odds.
Like I said earlier it is the same as rolling a die consecutively or rolling one every day you come home from work. Each roll has the same odds of being one of the numbers.Comment -
