In fact I can only find one game in the past decade where the Patriots lost a game after they had won the division.

Okay ya got a point there amazingly they can win any game even with their subs, which does show that the team is just incredibly dominant, unlike baseball where starters never win more than 2 out of 3 games

How about 2005 when they started 4-4.
        Times change they are machines now, 03 14-2, 04 14-2, 07 16-0

Hell in MLB you'll have best record if you average 8-4

Please point to the post where I criticized your "record". You've never even mentioned your record.

I opened my database and saw ONE GAME in patriots history where they lost a game that fit your criteria.

Put words in my mouth all you want, but I didn't say a thing about you or your record.

My record tracking of the Patriots is what I meant, I was just making a joke durito I don't care what anyone thinks of my capping, this thread was mainly started just to analyze how difficult it is to predict a particular MLB game and given that we have to pay juice for the opportunity, whether or not it's a good sport for the normal bettor to put his units on, I can see now there are people that feel strongly on both sides, that information on how to professionally cap MLB is somewhat mysterious and extremely labor intensive at this point and I would say the normal bettor (not computer modeling professional gambler) has a much better chance of coming out ahead in football/NCAAB than he does in NBA/MLB.

And my point was to tell you that football is not easier for the average player or professional to beat than mlb.

If it was, football wouldn't be the most profitable sport for the books.

The fact that better teams win more often in football is meaningless. Ie, it's reflected in the point spread or money line. It doesn't make it any easier to find an edge -- in fact it's harder.

There is nothing mysterious, you've been told exactly how a professional approaches MLB. Keep in mind, this is the exact same way they approach NFL or NCAA. There is no holy grail where you can spend 25 minutes a day and make money. The books would all be out of business that way.

The only reason an average player has a great chance of coming out ahead in one football season vs one baseball season is because it's shorter and thus they are more likely to be lucky.
