If you believe you can earn heaven and that goodness alone does the trick, you've now discounted the beliefs of all Christians (have to accept Jesus), Hebrews (have to accept God), Hindus (don't believe in heaven), Buddhists (don't believe in heaven) and many other belief systems ...

Guess you feel that everyone can "earn" heaven even if they don't believe it exists. Interesting concept.

You're right, it's one screwed up system as far as "after-life" is concerned. You can be a mass murderer or child molester and still get to heaven by simply accepting Christ. Apparently it doesn't matter how many lives you've ruined...just as long as you say sorry before it's your turn to go.

Pavy, you seem to think believing in nothing but yourself should cover you quite nicely in case there actually is a Creator. That type of belief must take one heck of a lot of faith. Where is the proof?

I get attention here. I get attention at EOG. Why? Because I am female and they are predominantly male boards. It's not rocket science...and it's not all positive attention. Believe me, I would gladly do without most of the attention I get at both boards, but I do enjoy conversing with some of the posters. I am constantly being called an attention whore around here for no good reason. Yeah, I switch up my pictures. I come in here and goof off because I have so many serious responsibilities in my real life. I'm pretty sure that the case with many posters here.

If you are so concerned with me being an attention whore, stop paying attention to me. It seems a little silly to give the attention whore so much attention by bitching about it, no? WTF -- why are there so many threads on religion? I'm not convinced that a stimulating conversation can be had online regarding religion. That said, if anyone would like to somehow prove to me that a G/god does exist, feel free to try. I study religion for a living -- this should be fun.

Up until 3 months ago, I lived in a trailer. Granted, it was a trailer I bought when I was only 19....but a trailer none the less. It has a hitch and wheels under it and everything.
