Ok, Bread, it is simple. The Bible does not speak against drinking or gambling ... it speaks against doing anything to excess.

I can have a beer and not be acting against God. If I have 10 of them, I am.

I can place a bet on my favorite team every now and again and not be acting against God. If I bet 4-5 times a day, I would be.

The Bible states "Where your treasure is, your heart will be also." My treasure is the Lord, not gambling or drinking.

If you had ever read the Bible, you'd know this. I feel foolish for telling someone of your stature these things anyway. I am sure you knew them already.

But nobody in the church could say that moderate drinking or gambling is against God. And if they did, it would be without the support of the Bible ...

As Robyn already knows, God is the ultimate judge. He has provided us with the Bible that tells how one achieves salvation. And she will be held accountable, as will everyone, to that standard.

Judge her? I think she's an idiot. But that is just a natural reaction which can't be blocked unless I were to remove my brain from my head. I don't think she is a fool for not believing the Bible. I just think she represents herself as a fool period.
