Likely would have died tomorrow anyways. Just beat the rush by a few hours.

It's been choreographed and scripted since a little after World War I, at least. Every so often, some real things happen. I mean, you are working with a guy you really don't like. He stole your girlfriend, he's the boss' snitch, whatever. So you hit him a little more stiffly than normal.

Look, for those of you saying, "steroids!" - the guy last competed for TNA (Impact Wrestling) in 2003. He was pretty much retired after WCW closed in 2001. We'll see what the autopsy says - but I don't think he was "on the juice" after his wrestling days were over....

Which leads to the real reaction most fans should have, which is one of shock and sadness. Randy always, always, ALWAYS brought happiness to the fans...Just look at WrestleMania 7 when he and Miss Elizabeth reunited after their characters had been estranged for two years...WrestleMania III, the match with Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat; I could watch that 5 or 10 times and not get bored. WrestleMania VIII with Flair and Flair's proclamation that he had X-Rated pictures of Elizabeth he was going to put up on the jumbotron of the RCA Dome in Indianapolis if he won...The guy's promos were intense as heck...I remember Savage would get beat up so many times on his leg by his opponent that he would do a patented "hobble", really convincing the fans he had gotten hurt...only to come back and win.

His outfits...the Slim Jim endorsements....and the Make-A-Wish visits I heard about that Randy did with kids....he was the complete package...He was tough, he was intense, he was cool - he WAS his character - HE WAS a MACHO MAN. One of the "good guys" in a business where there's a lot of real-life backstabbing.

I can only hope he has Liz on one shoulder and Sensational Sherri on the other; Peter is probably doing a double take at the pearly gates...and speaking of women and Savage; let's not forget, he just got re-married a year ago; his wife was in the passenger seat - I hope she recovers...

Sorry to ramble, but as a fan for 20 of my 24 years....this is very sad. A no doubt Hall of Fame induction next year...I only wish he'd be here to see it.

RIP Macho Man - OHHHHHH YEEEEAAHHHHHH!!!!

Randy "Macho Man" Savage, the professional wrestler known for his raspy voice, the sunglasses and bandanas he wore in the ring and the young woman named Miss Elizabeth who often accompanied him, died in a car crash Friday in Florida. He was 58.

Basically that Mean Gene was drunker than he was that day, in a time warp singing oldies from 1966 to himself when he should've been focusing on Randy.

Savage vs Steamboat Wrestemania III, and the mega powers stint is probably best times/matches.

Here's the video where Hogan comes out and saves Savage on SNME when Honky Tonk Man and the Harts were beating him up, it's probably my favorite wrestling moment of all time when I was younger. Elizabeth gets slammed down by Honky Tonk, then goes back to the dressing room and gets Hogan to help. Mega Powers are formed. I get goose bumps every time I watch it......

Wrestlers die enough without having to get in car wrecks. That sucks.

Yeah...his brother was on TV saying that he had a heart attack behind the wheel...autopsy will tell the true tale. Wrestlers are notorious for drugs, roids, etc. and way too young to be passing away. Savage wasn't young, but these guys/girls are trainwrecks in real life except for a select few.
