Not just any dentist, mind you, but a professional dentist. As you know there are many people out there practicing dentistry as a sideline or hobby. As JJ sagely suggested, do not go to one of these.

DJ, nobody and I mean NOBODY is getting general anesthesia in the Dentists office pal. Generally just a local and if it's a big procedure they may do conscious sedation but thats it. No general anesthesia.

4 pulled for $1800. Sounds fishy (pun intended) to me. Move to Canada. Stuff like this is free in a hospital.

My Blue Cross Blue Shields does not cover dental, at work you have to pay extra for dental coverage and it is not worth it what you pay out of pocket for what it covers. The $1800 was for all four teeth to be pulled, xrays and to be put under. I had the money and it was not a big deal.

When my kid had them out last year they were paid for by my medical insurance not the dental insurance. They were submitted to both but medical paid more.

It's common practice in Canada... almost everyone I know (including myself) has extra health insurance which covers general anesthesia. Dentists make more and you suffer less. If you don't have supplemental health insurance then you only get local but that sucks.

One of my buddies is a huge pussy because he not only waxes his chest but he hires an anesthetist to put him under before they do it! Outrageous!

most people in australia do this. u get a free holiday and end up with more change than paying for it it the US. medical vacations r big industry for very good reason.

Had all four removed at 16. It's unreal having some guy rip the fukin teeth out of your head with novocaine and pliers only. If you do decide to do it at home, good luck.

Step 1: Call Detal dental or any insurance provider you want
Step 2: enroll in a plan, will probably cost you 20 bucks a month
Step 3: get your teeth pulled
Step 4: Cancel your insurance policy.

If your too stupid to figure that out i dont know what to say. People do this all the time when they need car insurance to get a license, when they damage there vehicles and want to get it fixed for cheap.
