Its worth the $1800 just for the pain killers... if you have money to gamble I sure as hell hope 2k to get wisdom teeth pulled shouldn't be a big deal... considering if the wisdom teeth get infected and the infection spreads to the sinuses, you can die...

Fisher, why don't you have Dental Insurance? I can't imagine living one day of my life without dental or health insurance. I hope you get your teeth situated, wisdom teeth can be a pain in the ass, get them out!

I recommend you at least try it on your own.
If it doesn't work, at least you'll know that you gave it your all.
I have faith in you, Fishhead. Go for it!!

Thanks, my lean currently.
Still need to spend at least $40 on proper utensils and and over the counter painkillers............but as you stated, worth a shot.
1800 - 40 ............$1760 savings.
Will keep informed...........have 3 months to make decision.

The danger involved is not worth the risk. You can have serious heart problems if you screw up any dental work.

1 out of every 4 "well off" Americans do not have dental insurance. 2 out of every 3 poor Americans do not have dental insurance.

Fishy, very very dangerous. Wisdom teeth extractions are easily infected because of how dirty the oral cavity is. This infection can enter the blood and go straight to the heart, leading to sepsis and cardiogenic shock. I've taken care of a handful of guys in their 20's that were hospitalized in the ICU with heart failure. Not a pretty site. I'm talking balloon pumps, breathing tubes and a heart that usually never fully recovers. You need to go in to have this done. Cost around $300 but they will give you some Lortab and Antibiotics for about a week.

My recommendation is to contact a local University that has a dentistry school. Claim you are poor and they may do it for free, experimentally

good idea. Experimentally or not, this is 100x's better than trying it on his own.

1)Fishy are you out of your mind
2)PICK UP THE PHONE CALL UNLV OR IF YOUR STILL IN TAMPA ONE OF THE LARGER STATE SCHOOLS AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DENTAL COLLEGE-ITS IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE FREE
(not sure if UNLV has a dental college but some place school close to Vegas has to have one)
I had all my work done for FREE at the University of Pennsylvania-that's $40,000 for FREE.Every move the students make is supervised by a Dentist it just takes 5x as long

The other option is to hop in the car and drive to Tucson get on I10 and get off at the Huachuca exit and make your way over to Douglas Arizona and cross the border at Agua Prieta. All the retires down here on the Gulf of Cortez swear by this guy
he is on Calle Seis
he is about 1/4 the price in the states
and maybe I will drive up and we can hang out after the operation...just keep your pain pill medicine hidden from me

It is not necessary to be knocked out, it isn't that bad. I think it was $400-500 for me about a year ago.

Anyone in need for this should have it done during the SBR Bash. I'm sure it's pretty cheap per tooth in CR for this.

4 pulled for $1800. Sounds fishy (pun intended) to me. Move to Canada. Stuff like this is free in a hospital.

You can't be serious ! A millionaire pulling his own teeth. Go to a college or find a dentist that will do it off the books for cash on a Sunday.
