This was NOT an intentional hit.

If the NHL suspends Chara, they are only going to piss a lot of the die hard NHL hockey folllowers who enjoy the fast paced, hard hitting aspects of the game. The NHL is only going to hurt itself by suspending Chara for a legal hit. If anything the NHL should finally wake up and make some kind of chages to the desing of the end partitions.

I'm telling you, these hits happen often in the NHL. People are overreacting because a player was severely hurt on the play. If he wasn't taken off the ice on a stretcher, then we wouldn't be talking about it right now.

The NHL us "softening" the game if they decide to suspend Chara.

I don't think he should be suspended, but sadly I think the NHL will pussy out and will likely give him a minimum of 2 games and a max of 4. IF Chara is suspended then the NHLPA should file a grievance with the league.
