The wall would never get painted because they wouldn't know who was supposed to grab the brush and who was supposed to hold the ladder

now turn those into even fractions with a common denominator, in this case it would be 60

In one hour, Dwade paints 20/60 of a wall
In one hour, LBJ paints 15/60 of a wall
In one hour, Bosh paints 12/60 of a wall

Collectively, they paint 47/60 of a wall in 1 hour, which is 78.33%

13/60 of the wall remains at this point. The heat's big three paint at a rate of .783 parts per minute, meaning 13 more parts would take 17 more minutes for the big 3.

The correct answer is 77 minutes, or 1 hour and 17 minutes

You sure it's not 1 hour and 18 mins? That's what I got. 9 divided by 12, is 4, then 4 divided by 3 = 1.3333, which means .33_ of an hour is 18 mins., no??

But ask how long it takes them to win an Eastern Final, then the answer is depending on the number of trades, divided by the salaries paid, plus the sum of the good players that can perform, minus the sum of the new trades that cannot, then the answer is equal to: Next year, maybe????

Haha, sorry about the phrasing. I can indeed speak English fluently, but I forgot to proofread the question after rephrasing it.

The question should read:

It would take Dwayne Wade 3 hours to paint a wall

Anyway, it looks like everyone still understood the question just fine. If they worked together efficiently then it would take 1/(1/3 + 1/4 + 1/5) hours as other posters already stated. I was looking for something greater than 5 hours though so I like twelvejewelz answer.
