That's true. Though Gilbert is 2 years younger then Lewis if that makes any difference.

Magic gambled on the trades and I think they are backfiring. Surrounded Howard with a bunch of shooters, but not team talent. No longer serious contenders in the East.

I said it when they made the deal in the 1st place, Magic got worse. Look up the thread. They WERE a contender but got in a funk, instead of fighting through it they took a huge shot, everybody praised them for not sitting around and taking a risk, blah, blah. Now they might not even get home court in the 1st round and their future is completely ****** because of Turk and Arenases deal. They made this deal because they were scared Howard would leave like Lebron, just like the deals for over the hill, overpaid stars Cavs used to make. And just like with Lebron, i think moves like this will end up being the reason he will leave.

Only hope they have is that the owners hold their ground and get to restructure all these contracts with the new CBA, but there is a very small chance the players union would ever allow that.

I don't think Arenas is that bad, I get the feeling the Jeff Van Gundy thinks Arenas might have a drug problem though, due to some vaque comments but this is just my opinion. He has brilliant moments. I disagree that JJredick is better, he was ok last year, but his shooting is off this year, he is getting his minutes to prove himself, Reddick needs to shoot the three better bacause he doesn't have the ball handling/layup skills of Nelson or Howard, and Anderson shoots from outside better than both Arenas and Reddick right now. my two cents on having watched about 8 games, lol

Gilbert's an attention whore, plus he acts way too feminine to be raising kids.

Children spot this stuff instantly & have no respect for him.

they are barely even playing agent zero at all and didnt they even try to change his number to one??? give him number zero, let him start, let him pound it till he fouls out or the defender does and take short range 9 foot jumpers until they are forced to change to defense to accomodate. hes not jj reddick, hes not dwight howard, but he is the real deal.

Gotta be the most overpaid athlete by far. Guy doesn't even attempt to play, it is actually pretty funny in a way but it has also fuked the Knicks for years so it is not that funny.

not done yet. takes awhile to get used to knowing you can't explode to the rim anymore after knee problems you need time to adjust.

people said same things about mcgrady but he is playing very well in detroit since he's come into the stating lineup he's actually the pistons most consistant player every night

Thanks god there is some smart posters on this forum.

Amare sucked his first year back from the same surgery(Microfracture surgery). With that kind of knee work, you basically have to go 7 months without playing basketball.

After a summer of getting back in shape, and training hard he will be the best 6-man in the NBA.

I would be willing to bet that Arenas has never been on a team that he wasnt to clear best player. He has to find a way to fit in.

Gundy needs to create a lineup that gives Arenas a leadership role, and makes him feel important.

At this point I'm not sure if creaky knees will make into the post season, but he does give them a interesting dynamic off the bench. The main thing was they were able to trade one of the worst contract in the league for a marginally better contract.

After watching this game I would say this orlando team is done. They showed no heart. Nelson seems to be the only one trying. Nobody plays D at all. They look like they just didn't care.

He is the most overpaid athlete in the NBA. I'm a bullets/wizards fan born and raised currently living out of state so the pain of losing is dulled; but every time he tried coming back from major injury, even the times he was 'stronger than ever', he lost the explosion that made him a scoring champ threat, the killer instinct (OMG was he at one time an amazing clutch player), and a consistent jumpshot from outside of 22 feet. The Wizards gave the contract to him he currently plays under when first coming off that injury, when he was relatively young and in prime. He is nothing like the player we acquired or the one that led us to the playoffs a couple of times.

His decline is worse than that of Jamison's, Butler's (although out he was playing good ball in dallas)..heck the only scoring complement whose career has gone worse since he left is Larry Hughes.

Watching him tonight vs Thunder i couldn't agree more with all you guys. Arenas should be down in the "D" league. Just saw him jack up a 3 and barely hit the backboard. Just got a technical foul plays no defense and threw one to the crowd Reddick just kind of looked at him like wtf.

I'd be pissed too if I was shooting less than 35% from the field for the season and playing on the bench for an above average team.
