Crying? No. But would I think it's funny? No. Would it piss me off a little? Yep. I don't thing there's anything funny about taking a bottle of pills. That particular "joke" happens to be a big pet peeve for me. That said, the only people who have really pissed me off or upset me here are the ones that seem to have an unhealthy obsession with me and follow me around with the intention of hurting my feelings, pissing me off, running me out of here...or whatever the fvck they are trying to accomplish. Other than that, it's all in good fun. I can laugh at myself...IF the person I'm going back and forth with is actually funny.

As for not talking about sports of gambling...well, you guys wouldn't take me seriously anyway, so why bother? I like chatting with some of the guys here, but I know that no matter how knowledgeable they may be, woman aren't really welcome in the sports threads. So I choose to just stay out of the way and have a little fun in the off topic.

I think thats the point...We are just joking...it has no intention of pissing anyone off - even if you had a friend once that tried to kill herself. Its not dirogetory by any means but the girls will always relate it to themselves as we are "attacking" them...which in my book is not the case.

And yes maybe we do undervalue your sports talk. But I have yet to see any girls on here start a thread with consistant winners. Does this factor into the equation? YES. ...and thats not to say you have men on here that are always picking losers but more is expected from a female...im sorry thats just how it works.

Honestly AAO even if they don't start a thread with consistent winners doesn't mean that they aren't knowledgeable about sports and is no reason to undervalue anyones take on a game. If everyone had a thread that they ran this place would probably be one hell of a mess. I'm sure there are plenty of females that know just as much about sports as some of us degenerate fucks...I am no degenerate though.

Dio, dont you think it helps to earn some kind of respect for a person if they start a thread and pick winners? I mean look at you or LT Profits or BOT or Mofo...yes they you good posters but you also post picks and help people win money which increaes your respect on the fourm. Im saying to the girls, if they want their opinion on sports to be taking seriously try starting a thread and pick winners noone can go against them and say "they dont know shit" if they are doing well.

I don't see it as attacking, but I do see that particular example as tastelass and just not funny. And yes, making a joke that someone should down a bottle of pills IS disrespectfull and hurtful to anyone who has lost a friend or family memeber in that way. In any case, please don't pretend to know me or how I will react to things. I have no problems with you. Anything you want to know about me...ask, don't assume.

Yeah I guess I can see it from that point of view...I guess it would be like every time a newbie shows up and tells everyone to follow him. Most people would discount everything that he says until he has proven himself. I was content with the Best Bets thread and honestly never had plans of starting a thread but did so after LK1 kept urging me to...several good points in your post but many would discount them even after they started a thread and likely wouldn't take them serious.

Sweetheart, I'm not bitching. I get it. No offense, but I really don't care if you respect me. I've dealt with enough shit here for now. Maybe once football season starts back up I'll get into it....but I honestly watch sports for love of the game. Gambling would ruin that for me. If I though all of the men here were mature enough to admit when one of us makes a good pick, I might give it a shot, but you and I both know that starting a thread with my picks (winning or not) would just open me up for a whole new round of being called an idiot and sorry, that's just not my idea of fun. There is no reasoning with some of the man-children on this board.

There are some sharp ass players here, but the queston of the thread is: Do you mind if there are females here who don't really gamble but at the same time stay out of the "serious" discussions about gambling and handicapping? If you do mind, why not ignore them because they rarely enter into the areas where there is intensive investment discussions going on.
As for myself, I have a weakness for females and can't help conversing with them. All of them.

Cojack I would not call myself a tipster...I have only been capping game since mid-end of January and just started tracking at the end of February to try and help myself for next season. I honestly don't feel comfortable enough about my capping abilities to give anyone tips but in that link I posted I listed what info I usually go about when looking at O/U.

When did I ask anyone to take my advice? I give my opinions in sports threads that are not gambling related. If you guys want to put 100's or 1000's on games, that your choice. The times I've posted in sports threads I've basically been told I don't know anything because I'm a girl, so fine. I know guys think like that, so I stay out of them for the most part. I'm still not seeing the problem.

I'd like to learn more about capping, but for now I'm not confident enough to put my hard earned money out there. For now, I'm just watching and learning. I may decide to place bets one day, I may not. I think it would take away from the game for me. So, out of respect for the serious gamblers here, I stay out of those threads.

I 'can't tell you how many times that I have been watching a game with the wife ( who watches football every sunday with me but is still at a basic knowledge level) where she will come up with some insight that is just off the wall and easily dismissable in the first quater. Then buy the end of the game, it turns out that she knew her shit. I take all opinions for a game and mix them in with all the other opinions, stats, and historical ATS/ O-U data. Let it mull around in the Rage-o-matic 3500 super computer for a little while and spit out a choice on the game.

Not a thing at all wrong with that swede...if you do decide to start capping games then it is honestly best to cap games and track on paper instead of placing money on the games. I lost a ton of money just betting on games without doing any capping at all and then proceeded to lose even more once I started putting money on games that I had capped.

It's possible that sometimes you guys get so wrapped up in the numbers and the money that you miss out on some insight into the game. Perhaps you should take non-gambler perspectives into account.
